Legends tell of a great battle that took place in this very vale, turning the golden fields to crimson with the blood of many brave monks. The armies of Lei Shen the Thunder King, emperor of the mogu, fought brutally, but were eventually overcome.

For days following the fall of Lei Shen, the vale was shrouded in a cloud of the deepest black. Summoned by Lei Shen in his final moments, the otherworldly storm blanketed the vale with rainfall and struck jagged spears of lightning into the hills.

The blood of of the fallen was washed away by the storm and carried to Whitepetal Lake, turning the waters to a deep red. With its final breath, the storm struck the centre of the lake, igniting the very water itself. The lake burned with a crimson hue for many days.

When the blaze subsided, a cloud serpent hatching could be seen flying around the centre of the lake. Its scales sparked with storm and fire, and where it flew, great clouds of formed in the sky. My people named it Alani, the Stormborn.

The ancient mogu tribes, once scattered across the land, have reunited. For reasons unknown, they seek to enter the Vale and take its powers by force.

From what we have seen so far, they attack a vulnerable section of the Vale each day, looking for weakness.

Should they succeed in their attack, then the Vale will fall. If we do not hold them back, they will push to the palace gates themselves.

A baby Teldrassil protector, Sapling of Lore, has been planted in Pandaria for Tyrande. (I am but a young sapling, grown here in Pandaria to become one with the land so that Tyrande may benefit from the stories it holds. The Strongbows have volunteered to protect me in my infancy so that our mistress' wishes are fulfilled.)

A group of Enchanted Guardians, golden treants, also protects the capital.

The Golden Lotus has laid out a buffet in your honor as thanks for all your help.

Two Pandaren are having an intense staring contest.

Several Pandaren NPCs are trying to show the Alliance their new type of combat--fighting when needed and without negative emotion.
Ying Thunderspear: Your armor is your skin in combat. Protect it and honor it, and it shall do the same for you. Flames of passion serve only to ignite the kindle of others.

First, the life of a farmer involves sowing seeds and harvesting crops. The crops that you sell can be used in cooking, sold on the auction house, traded to other players, or traded for meat and fish. I've even heard of rare seeds that can be planted for unique items... and perhaps even a rare pet!
Then there's all of Halfhill to meet! the folks who live around those parts are real interesting, and if you make friends with them, they might give you some nice gifts.
There's always plenty to do around the fields. Since the dark days of the old kingdom, we pandaren have turned to the mystical art of brewing to keep our spirits and strength high.
Even as we speak, brewkmasters wander the world, seeking rare and powerful ingredients to craft the finest of brew.
Those who seek out these elusive brewmasters and lend them aid may earn flavorful items. At the very least, you will drink plenty of brew!
The largest brewery in Pandaria is the Stormstout Brewery in the Valley of the Four Winds. If there is any work to be found near the brewery, it would undoubtedly earn you favor with the brewmasters.
Brewmasters are also wandering by nature, and can be found roaming all over the land searching for rare ingredients or concocting new brews.
Such brewmasters are often found in unique scenarios.

Other than that, Dread Wastes still stands to me as the greatest zone in Pandaria in terms of visuals.
