I don't see a problem here. If you know how to make gold, you don't have to pay real money each month to play so same here. You don't have to spend anything but gold you can easily make. Free either way.

This is the way to do micro-monetization in WoW. The Shop was baby steps; but if the shop, and trading post can share a common "pool" of items. Something releasing available for real money, with the understanding that eventually its going to be in the post. That's the ticket. Hits the whales, and still services the rest of the "fish".

I'm just waiting for the eventual wave of rage posts complaining about spending real money on this only for it to show up later for free. Seems like no mater how many times Blizz offers an item with the explicit statement that you'll be able to get said item via other methods at a later date, there's always a big crowd that will swear otherwise.
ngl kind of tempted to buy it, i'm still struggling to have the tender to spare for that magenta dragon mount.

What a slimy thing to do blizz... just 3 rotations into a new cool feature that's gotten a bunch of awesome feedback and now... skip the line and save your tender by spending 8 bucks. this is the blatant money-grabbing attitude that is going to make quit wow for good... breaks my hearts honestly.

Why go f2p with a premium battle pass and cash shop when you can be p2p with a "complimentary" battle pass and cash shop. Smells like testing the waters for increasingly making trading post items available "early" for cash. Blizz is having their cake, eating it and saving it for yesterday all at the same time.Blizzard is certainly living up to their reputation of taking existing systems and improving them. Just not for the player this time.
