Another weird, utterly pointless change... oh well...
So I take it no more April fools jokes about Draenei behinds? How will they enforce the fact that it feels like 50% of the horde are female Sin'dorei? I had a friend get into a spat with me because she was offended nearly all my toons are female bloodelves, granted all their transmogs are fully clothed/covered but hey she had to still bring up a point that people play little pixie blondes. I'll be honest it's because I never imagine my paladin as a big hulking Zandalari or Tauren and always as a more elegant/tatician being they are also magic wielders. Just seems silly they make all their obscure changes when you look at the races and transmogs of most of the characters in-game.
I both hate and love that stupid stupid rocket...Give it to me so that I never have to think or look at it ever again!
Now if they would up the freaking drop rate..............
Can we get the same icon but blue/red for the X-51 Nether-Rockets?
cool
That rocket is the perfect case for having progressive droprates, meaning every time something rare is not dropping the chance should increase by a tiny fraction so that eventually it is a guaranteed drop.I have characters with over 100 non-drops by now, given that there are only 14 tries per year per character something like this should be nearly a 100% drop after eight freaking years.Instead we can not really know if it drops at all for everyone and not only for characters that where created on a 29th of february at 11:30 AM.I could put out statistics and at what probability for a drop I am currently at but that has two issues.1) we do not really know the droprate2) we do not know how many times the random generator got changed and how random every version was

Like, I mean, ok. Icon change is fine, it actually represents the mount now. But may I ask, not as a rude gesture or aggression, but rather curiosity, what's worth of the whole article about it? It's just 1 icon in the game where there are like thousands of them. Just include it in the patch notes news or smth of sorts... AGAIN, it's just my thoughts, observation and proposition, you may completely disregard anything written in this comment if you disagree, my opinion isn't ultimate and isn't an absolutely correct point of view.P.S. Don't get me wrong, now I see why some people deemed it (icon) inappropriate, but before this article came out I didn't even think of it in such context honestly. Don't tell me that I'm being a bigot or sleeping on major humanity issues, it's just I didn't even think of sexual context in an icon I probably have never used before, and I don't usually cherry-pick such context in anything in the games I play, because I play them enjoying the process of the game.
I'm a girl. Blizzard, why are you wasting time to change this kind of stuff? Work on actually fixing the game.
All these desexualizations in games is to comply with new regulations in China. China is placing strict guidelines on sexualizatioj in games. Including even expressions of sexuality and preferences. This will trigger many changes to games wanting Chinese releases.Sadly these are required changes by new Chinese laws.
Now wait for Barrens mountains to change shape...
I am okay with this because at least it looks like the actual item... Not like they turned the tooltip into fruit or something that would be silly ;)
Tbf, it's good when outdated icons like this get an update to look more in line with what they actually areIn all fairness, the Big (pink) Love Rocket itself, both as a name, and as an object, are both obviously phallic innuendo's... so it never really mattered.Now... a more useful change, would be to give it a more realistic drop rate... '<1%' doesn't even remotely cover how rare this is... It's got a 1/3333 drop rate! (that's 0.03%!)I've got well over 1400 kills (across 17 characters who're eligible for it, ie 50+), who I do this every day on (when it's up) on all of them... and have done for YEARS (at least 5...)And in my many years of trying, I've seen it drop twice... (both for someone else of course... )Part of me thinks some drunk dev derped and fat fingered 1 too many 3's there... or they were just sadistic enough to think a 0.03% drop was actually ok. Like.. ok... fair enough... don't make it a 20% drop rate so everyone has it on day 1....but can we please get a drop rate that means if you've done 200+ attempts that week (in a 2week holiday), that you've actually got a solid chance of getting it? Or how about some bad luck protection buffs?
I suspect this was a simple task given to placate certain agitated members of their dev staff, who want to feel like they're making a difference, bizarre as that difference is.
Can Blizzard just stop and focus on the core of their game? The employees making these "fixes" needs to be canned and are just as useless as these changes. You won't bring people back because you made a picture less provocative - you're creating a problem that doesn't exist and forcing a change because your employees couldn't act civil and keep their hands to themselves.
Damnit Blizzard, why you gotta ruin my mount that's also a sex joke :(.
