I liked it. I wonder if people as a whole enjoy that the buff causes an increase in successful boss downings.
Very interesting article. When comparing 10 ICC to 25 ICC hardmode progression, I don't think the author took into consideration that many 10 mans doing 10 hardmode content are rocking 264 or 277 gear from their 25 ICC raid, thus making it easier because they "outgear" the fights, rather than the fights themselves being easier.
Nice info now if only I could even get past the first boss Id be happy......... Don't look at me like that some of us fail.
Glad people liked my article! I'll have more stuff along these lines in the future. Watch lorehound.com and the rawrcast blog for me. The original post was on Lore Hound:http://lorehound.com/wow/wotlk-progression-statistics-looking-forward-to-cataclysm/As far as ICC25 gear affecting the difficulty level of ICC10, this is a very good point, especially because some fights are more DPS checks than raid awareness checks and the number of guilds defeating them are likely to scale better than awareness-heavy encounters. Eg, better gear will help you a lot more on BQL than Sindragosa. However, this is the same general mechanic as a stacking buff over time and we should still expect the same general shaped graph for that reason.
The availability of 25men gear to 10men raiders is what pushes 10men normal content like a month in front of the 25man normal content. Both 10men and 25men are similar in difficulty, only that better gear saves progress time. Also, 264 gear is available outside ICC, so the only gear that pushes ICC10 HM raiders forward is from ICC25 HM, which they dont even have to be able to access, and if they do, they are usualy strugling with it after few bosses while they ICC10 HM is already almost cleared. Of course, after few weeks of looting ICC25 HM they will overgear ICC10 HM, but at the time their contribution to the progress chart was already made, so its not a point.Great article, explained a lot!
