WTB an anvil next to the jewelcrafting trainer in Stormwind. Having all the anvils in one location in a city is very trying if you are levelling professions before level 20 and have no mount.

Actually some forges and anvils in a couple more of the Stormwind zones would be much more civilised (like Orgrimmar). :p

If anyone is looking for one at the Faire, there is one at 47,66 next to Daenrand Danwcrest. Much easier than going back to Thunder Bluff to find one.

There is an anvil in Badlands (16.81 , 48.94).
Wowhead haven't writed down where the object can be found in :P

The anvils located in Dalaran, including the large star-shaped one, no longer work.

Looks like JesiMcCoy's wish has come true with patch 5.0.1 when Blizzard introduced Thermal Anvil. It's crafted by engineers and it's tradable so anyone can use it.

There is an anvil in the Valley of the Four Winds. It is located at Nesingwary's Safari (15.95, 83.17).

EDITS:
Mountainfoot Strip Mine in Azshara. It is located in the building (20.24, 70.16) in which you complete Prismbreak.

Gao-Ran Battlefront, Townlong Steppes (75.73, 81.75).

Tian Monastery, Jade Forest (41.48, 24.71).

you can now make an Anvil with engineering wich is called Thermal Anvil wich is unbound and does not need you to have the Engineering skill therefor you do not need to look any further for an anvil.

Thermal Anvil is the newest best friend to all blacksmiths & engineers. not soulbound & can be used @ low lvls. So if ur lvling ur skill & buying ur stuff of the AH then pick up a few of these & do all ur lvling right there in the AH or by the mailbox outside! :)

Vale of Eternal Blossoms

There is an anvil and a smelter in the Shrine of Seven Stars. (I would assume they are also available in The Shrine of Two Moons.)

As you face the front of the SoSS, take the left entrance. Go straight back and you'll see the blacksmithing trainer/supplier, Cullen Hammerbrow. The anvil/smelter do not identify when you mouse over them but they do "work".

I'm assuming that the anvil doesn't show up in the list above is because the anvil isn't 'an object'.

In other news...

The anvil in Halfhill is just up the hill from the cooking trainers. It's at the end of the path at the top of the hill. (54.1, 49.3)

There is now an anvil on Timeless Isle inside a tent at 38.6, 46.4, on the north side of the courtyard. Unfortunately there is no forge there.

I've managed to locate one in Frostwall, at the holiday vendor right next to the hero's call board, but I've yet to find the one that ought to exist in Lunarfall. Anyone?

In Val'Sharah a Thermal Anvil will appear for the World Quest for Work Order: Leystone Armguards. Sadly the Thermal Anvil is only up while the World Quest is up and disappears once completed.

You would think any and all villages would have forge and anvil in it as they would need at least some metal work done in it, but nope.

I guess most of the listed locations were created by placing a thermal anvil (data mined). Many of them are just not there (anymore)
