There are two or three close to the entrance to the instance, and one sometimes spawns further in that didn't seem to be worth going out of the way for. The total time to run in, kill and get out is about three minutes.

Go in, turn left and left again, and turn right into Hordemar City. Stop right inside the doorway and turn right. Jump down on the ledge, go to the end and turn left, and jump down to the next ledge. Follow it around to its end and jump down to where the Firebrand mobs are. Go south and around the corner until you see the Spire Spiders. Go in the small room to your right with the two Firebrand Legionnaires. Kill them for a chance at the Volcanic Shoulders leatherworking pattern.

Go up the ramp with the spiders, killing as you go, for various spider silks. Go through the small doorway back into Hordemar City. Go up the ramp and kill the two or three Spirestone Battle Mages for a chance at the Chimeric Leggings leatherworking pattern. As an extra bonus, after killing the mages, there are a couple short tunnels to the south where you can skin Spire Scorpids for Heavy Scorpid Scale. Return to the Battle Mage area, Face east and drop down onto the walkway. Go until you see the bridge to your left, cross it, turn left again, and cross the next bridge. Go up to the top of the ramp on the right back to the entrance of the instance (left, right, and right turn). Reset instance and try again.

So far I've run the route about ten times but no Chimeric Leggings pattern.
