When you get the Wall of Suds ability:

In my experience, the best advice is: Don't overthink it. Don't try to double jump by timing 1 wall, then another. If you're good you can do it, but usually lag or distraction will eat your face and cause 1 or even both to slam you anyway.

Instead, quickly spin around and find where the "X" intersection of the 2 walls is. Line yourself up with it, move a bit to do so if necessary. Jump just before the X reaches you, and you should go right over both walls with 1 jump.

Very reliably too, as long as you know how early you need to jump relative to your average latency (takes a few tries to get that feeling).

Hah...Yan-Zhu's Fizzy Bubbles are a reference to Willy Wonka's Fizzy Lifting Drink, which would give drinkers the ability to fly.

Depending on who else you have encountered up till now, he can have any of three special powers.
AoE power; Sudsy OR Fizzy
Add power; Yeasty OR Bubbly
Debuff power; Bloated OR Knockout

To counter his Sudsy attack; wall of suds. simply jump over the walls of beer that sweep the room with your newly found super jump buff (he applies it to you) and dont worry about slow fall or shorting the jump, it is very manageable if you watch the suds.

To counter his Fizzy attack; this causes carbonation all over the room, rendering you unable to attack. click on one of the blue bubbles and fly into the air, keep a good three yards off of the ground, especially you healers.

To counter his Yeasty Adds; the yeasty adds are both a blessing and a curse. unless Fizzy is up, you should have one add for every caster. They'll cast a beam of +1% hp and mana every second on the boss and on each other when they're in trouble, however if you stand in front of that beam, the mana and health is yours. dont let too many of them spawn though, keep maybe two or three depending on your make up. Healers, you may be wondering why i told you to stick close to the ground? its so you can interrupt these things beams when you're floating.

To counter his Bubbly Adds; He'll summon a ring of protective shields. AoE, and they're gone.

To counter his Bloated Debuff; you can either stand at separate corners of him (With the healer hanging out in the back of course) or you can stagger yourselves in his hit box so that everyone can stay within mass healing range, and not get hurt. The trick to this is that the bloated debuff will only hurt people directly to the left and right of the targeted player, not those in front of or behind them.

To counter his Knockout Debuff; Jump a lot. Very similar to the nexus if any of you have fought the dragon at the end. if you get ten stacks, you're stunned. Don't get stunned.

All pet classes beware, during his "hop into a bubble to fly" phase, your pets will stay on the ground and be completely unable to attack.

Specs like Beast Mastery or Demonology might not be a good choice for this boss.

Quite possible the most annoying boss in all of mop...not hard just annoying. I got very lucky and won inelava on my 3rd run or so with pally.

Solo'd lvl90 Hunter... long but easy. Just stand back, keep healing the pet and shooting. When the waves come at you, jump them, you fly up but better than getting stunned.

盐柱 (Yán zhù) translates to "Pillar of Salt" which is a reference to the Bible, specifically Lot's wife. I don't know if this was intended, or how it fits with the npc if it was, it's just a fact I thought was interesting.

A quick summary for Challenge Mode Gold, especially those that went through the horror that is Stormstout Brewery (monkeys and virmin, anyone?) before getting to this boss. This because this boss by far has the lowest error margin for a final boss in challenge.

Preparation:

The boss will always use Wall of Suds, Yeasty Brew Alemental and Bloat.
For Gold you should burst Yan-Zhu and don't dps Alementals.
This fight has very little unavoidable damage on the tank and therefore requires no healer.
The fight should take a minute max, so if there are raid cooldowns (TW/Hero/Lust, Stormlash) coming off cooldown before you hit 1:10 - 1:20 on the timer, wait.

Fight:

You'd want to start off with as many cooldowns as possible as it starts without Alementals.
The corner closest to the entrance and the opposite one first spawn adds, then the other corners, then second adds near the first spawns. Position accordingly.
On the Walls, getting out of position can lead to a Fermentation beam coming through. Best is to jump at the last second and use a cooldown for a possible hit.
Any character without a Fermentation beam should make sure they can cover up if a beam is not registered correctly on a player.
If moving is required, don't forget about Bloat.
Once you get to the final percentages, good luck: a single misplacement can screw up the entire 12 minute run.

As a Shadow Priest (and a castor class) this final guy was killing me left and right. Finally, after reading everything here, I tried fighting him by standing right in front of him. In melee range. I got stunned a bunch of times, but I was mostly able to jump the waves and avoid them. I had to drink 1 healing potion. The fight was kind of long. But, in the end, I FINALLY was able to BEAT HIM!

Brew Bolt – If there are no players near Yan-Zhu, he will begin casting Brew Bolts. Inflicts 41 Frost damage and increases magic damage taken by the target by 10% for 6 sec. This effect stacks.

Brewmastery: Wheat

Uncle Gao's crazy experiments grant Yan-Zhu one of two wheat brew abilities.

Bloat – Yan-Zhu infuses a random player with an excessive quantity of brew. This Bloat causes brew to gush from their ears for 30 sec, inflicting 27 Frost damage and knocking back targets in a 10-degree cone on either side of the bloated player.
Blackout Brew – The heavy Blackout Brew inflicts 16 Frost damage to all players and applies 3 stacks of Blackout Brew. Stacks can be removed by moving and jumping. If Blackout Brew reaches 10 stacks, the Brew stuns the player for 10 sec.

Brewmastery: Ale

Uncle Gao's new fermentation procedures grant Yan-Zhu one of two ale brew abilities.

Bubble Shield – Yan-Zhu covers himself with 8 small bubbles. Each bubble grants Yan-Zhu 10% damage reduction. This effect stacks.
Yeasty Brew Alemental – Yan-Zhu summons forth Yeasty Brew Alementals to aid him.
- Ferment – The Yeasty Brew Alemental fires a fermentation beam towards Yan-Zhu the Uncasked, but players may intercept the beam and receive its effect by standing between the two Alementals. The fermentation restores 3% of health and mana every 1 sec. to the affected target.
- Brew Bolt – Yeasty Brew Alementals can cast a less powerful version of Brew Bolt, inflicting 12 Frost damage.

Brewmastery: Stout

Uncle Gao has modified the family recipe, granting Yan-Zhu one of two stout brew abilities.

Carbonation – Yan-Zhu fills the room with Carbonation for 20 sec. The Carbonation inflicts 3 Frost damage every 1 sec. to enemies that are close to the ground and prevents them from attacking or casting spells due to acute asphyxiation.
In addition, Carbonation causes Fizzy Bubbles to spawn.
- Fizzy Bubble – Clicking on a Fizzy Bubble grants a player the ability to fly for 20 sec.
Wall of Suds – Yan-Zhu periodically summons forth walls of sudsy brew. The onrushing brew inflicts 27 Frost damage every 0.5 seconds to players that stand within the wall and stuns them for 5 sec.
- Sudsy – The sudsy nature of Yan-Zhu grants players the ability to jump extra high.
