Just tamed this guy today on my Hunter. He spawns on the dot on the wowhead map above. In game he circles several dead trees out in the open at the foot of Morgan's Vigil flight point. Hope this was of help to anyone, and happy hunting!

One of the newly added rares to Burning Steppes, their purpose is for hunters to gain access to new exotic pets.

Isiset is the Mistress of Magic, from the Halls of Origination in Uldum. What connection this bird shares with a Titan construct in Uldum is a good question.

The Details:
While questing in Burning Steppes, I found Favored of Isiset flying around, detected with NPC Scan addon at 9:21pm Central Standard USA time. In my haste to try to get the creature tamed, I totally forgot about having my quest NPC companion John J. Keeshan with me. As I began the tame, the NPC companion attacked the bird. First instinct was to find the quest and abandon it, but by the time I managed to (after trying to run away from the bird, hoping the NPC would follow).. the rare was dead. =(

After my wife put in a ticket regarding the situation, and I put in a bug report/made my own ticket, and each of us spoke with a GM about the situation, I resigned myself to a slice of sadness. A few hours later, at approximately 1:25am Central Standard USA time, I went back to Favored's area to see if it had spawned. Nothing was there. I went back to the camp to claim my quest reward for The Spoils of War, equipped it, and hit a mining node right outside of the camp. I cast Eagle Eye towards the area where Favored would have been.. and behold, it was up and flying about! I ran over, dodging Worgs and Dragonkin along the way, and managed to snag the tame around 1:30am Central Standard USA time.

For the sake of information, all of this went down on Uldaman (USA) server.

Farming for Revenant plate set, I encountered this rare that was not listed on the drop table for the Revenant Gauntlets. However, today's kill confirmed that Favored of Isiset does indeed drop them. If you see it while looking for Deathmaw and other rare spawns, add it to your hit list.

Has anyone seen this catch of the century wandering around lately? (I have checked almost 8 times a day for the last 9 days) Starting to think it might have been removed? O.o

EDIT: Finally it spawned. Was via a method I never thought of. I went to the area twice today and cleared out the mobs around the tree, on my third check (just now) the bird was flying just above the tree line.

I suppose I always took for granted that a someone else killed the mobs to make way for the rare spawn I encountered. (Also think the game is really dead, at least outside shadowlands lol) I tamed Optimo in the same fashion today.
