The Cataclysm really upset the balance in Coldridge Valley. Troggs have been pouring out of their holes deep in the earth and attacking anything in their way.

The first enemy you face is Rockjaw Invader. Their goal is to overrun the defenders and kill Joren Ironstock, one of the Mountaineer Captains. And it is understandable that they want him dead, he is a Trogg killing machine. One shot, one kill.

Joren also gives the first quest, Hold the Line!. This quest can be incredibly hard, depending on how many other players are doing it at the same time. The Troggs randomly spawn and immediately begin running towards Joren. His rifle has a huge range, never misses, and always kills in one shot.

This is not exactly correct, game wise. If you have damaged the Trogg then he will shoot at him but do no damage.

In my opinion, what is supposed to happen is that the Troggs spawn, begin to run towards Joren, but get engaged with the Coldridge Defender and stop. The players can then run to the rescue until they get the 6 needed for the quest. Joren is supposed to be a safe place -- he is surrounded by lvl 105 guards to handle Horde players.

What actually happens that the Troggs spawn, occasionally get tagged by the dwarven defenders, and the rest blindly rush to their death by Joren. The lvl 105 Coldridge Mountaineer will kill the Troggs, but as soon as they target them Joren is programmed to kill them.

There are a couple of Troggs that spawn with pathing issues -- they rush toward Joren, turn around and return to their spawn spot, then rush Joren again. Getting that "Evade" message is annoying. Others will run right by the dwarves, be completely ignored, pop over the ridge, and die.

So, in the end, there are only about 6 Troggs that you can easily catch and kill before Joren does, and another 6 that if you are in the right place at the right time you can tag before they go to far. If there are other players, this becomes frustrating. Very possibly the most frustrating starting quest in the game.
