These mobs will drop a Charged Sentry Totem and they can deal around 800-1000 nature damage each attack. I highly recommend destroying these once they drop. You know when they come, as the summon has a short cast time. Because of these totems, I also recommend avoiding multiple Lightning Sentries at once, unless you can take out the totems quickly, which can also be hard as targeting them can be difficult if there are multiple mobs to tab between or to block your view of the totem.

probably the most overly strong mob in that level range. as said above they drop a totem that does 1000dmg every 2 seconds along with the elemental's auto attack.

These mobs also have a really large range at which they will follow you. One followed me from Dun Argol to beyond Heart's Blood Shrine before I ended up killing it.

It could've followed me farther, perhaps. Just don't run from these guys or you're going to have a bad day. Their super-charged totems might kill you (800-1000+ damage a cast).

More than one of these Lightning Sentries at a time could mean certain death. They're really powerful for their level.

I believe the droprates for Crystilized air have been reduced since beta. attempted to farm them earlier, went a half hour, killed about 40 of them, every single one was lootable and had something, but got only 2 crystalized airs. Wowhead doesn't have a 'counter reset' unfortunatly to correct for droprate changes.

well, trying to farm these things as a rogue is nearly impossible... the are immune to poisons.

Wow like some have said, don't forget to KILL those totems right away. 900-1000 damage every 2 sec is pretty brutal. The totems seem to have a bit of HP as my Blast Wave didn't kill it right away (unless i missed)

I've had roughly a 60% drop rate for the Crystallized air for me. Seems to be very random, or maybe I'm just lucky.

Agreed - as combat rogue 75 only losing 2000ish sta. per kill using no cooldowns.
My approach is distract > cs>snd> 3*ss > evis > kill totem> finish mob - easy meat ! :-)
Key tactic is getting a clean opener.

Droprate is good, Easily 20%

Worst day ever... Watch your surroudings when you're up against these mobs. Pulling more than one = death. Also, Runed Giants (L74 elites) path through here occasionally. Just in case no one knows, Runed Giants are like the Fel Reavers of Hellfire. Don't effin' mess with them.

easy peasy for a 74 Sub rogue. Just make sure you don't get more than 1 at a time and you'll be fine.
My rotation is:
Premed -> Shadowstep (if not on CD) -> Ambush -> KS -> BS -> BS -> BS -> 5point Evis = Dead mob.
Since it will be stun locked, it won't even be able to drop the totem.

next to hopeless if ure ele shammy lvl 73-74(75 u learn lava burst) there immune against nature spells(i guess boomkins got the same problem then) you only got ure low dmg fire totems and ure fire and frost shocks which have cd:S so that's the only way to deal them:S

Some advice for pure casters/clothies trying to fight these things:

Save your instant cast damage spells for when the totems drop, and other spells to kill the servants, especially since the servants can drop another totem within 6 to 10 seconds after you've nuked the first one. As an example, use fireball at its farthest range until the servant closes to melee, scorch when it starts to melee, and save fire blast for the totem. Since fireblast has a 6 second cooldown, it should be ready if the servant drops another one.
