These mobs count as humanoids and can be mind controlled by a priest.

Try mind controlling before you use the Hex Stick :p

These can be Mind Controlled and given raid buffs, sporeling snacks, and shields for hyperfrogs.

If I buy the Hex Sticks from the AH, and go through the instance (in stealth) to get to the Altar... will he still drop?
I don't kill anything, just wander about this area in relative safety de-hexing (and pick-pocketing) the yellow mobs.

Am I wasting my time or using my cowardly ways to my advantage?

For anyone who is running in to use multiple Amani Hex Stick, and you struggled getting past the gate mobs, keep in mind that the forest frogs WILL respawn after using the sticks on them.

So, if you run out of frogs and still have sticks to use, just wait a few minutes rather than resetting the instance and kicking yourself over trying to get past the gate group.
