This guy drops the best shield and trinket for Protection Paladins. Be sure to kill him at least daily if you are part of the holy crusade!

Funnily enough, as a Paladin you can cheese all of his abilities, like Devour with Blessing of Protection.

If you're like me and have totally forgotten to get the sinew for the drums, you're reading this now looking for a way to do it. As an ilvl 422 BM hunter, I was able to solo Rezan fairly quickly on normal. It took me about three tries to figure out what to do, but it can be done.

Some tips:

Stay out of the bone pits at all costs. This will cause you to waste badly needed DPS on adds.

You have to misdirect to your pet because even with growl on, he's immune for some reason. I had to cast one more MD about mid-fight because my agro got to yellow.

Keep your pet healed at all times. He may be a normal boss, but he still hits like a truck. I personally used a spirit pet because they have self heals in case you miss a heal due to Terrifying Visage.

Stay near the center so you can hide when he casts Terrifying Visage. Having your pet tank for you makes this much, much easier.

Obviously run away when he is casting Devour. Again, pet agro is important because you can get a HUGE lead when running away from him. I found that if I was inside the target circle, he could still reach me, so use that as a base to tell how far you are.

Pop all your CD's early, you should be able to last until his first Terrifying Visage and get full use of them, especially Aspect of the Wild.

I also had the old Repurposed Fel Focuser and Battle-scarred Augment Rune just for that little extra edge, so any pots you have will help greatly.

If you have a different way to do it and it works, by all means go for it, I'm just throwing out what worked for me :D

Cannot be tamed even with tome that lets you tame undead pets.

Overview – Rezan inflicts severe Physical damage with his [Serrated Teeth], [Devours] players at random, and frightens all players with his [Terrifying Visage].
- Tanks –
  Use damage reducing abilities while affected by [Serrated Teeth].
  Hide out of line of sight when Rezan uses his [Terrifying Visage].
  Protect your allies from Reanimated Raptors spawned from bone piles.
  Run away from Rezan when he starts to [Pursue] you, avoiding any [Ancient Dry Bones] in your attempt to flee.
- Healers –
  The tank will take significantly more damage while under the effect of [Serrated Teeth].
  When Rezan [Devours] a player they take severe amounts of damage.
  Hide out of line of sight when Rezan uses his [Terrifying Visage].
  Run away from Rezan when he starts to [Pursue] you, avoiding any [Ancient Dry Bones] in your attempt to flee.
- Damage Dealers –
  Hide out of line of sight when Rezan uses his [Terrifying Visage].
  Run away from Rezan when he starts to [Pursue] you, avoiding any [Ancient Dry Bones] in your attempt to flee.
Ancient Dry Bones – The remains of this raptor are ready to awaken at the slightest disturbance. Standing in the bones spawns a Reanimated Raptor that will attack players.
In Heroic and Mythic difficulties, Rezan will also cause bone piles to awaken as he walks over them.
- Pile of Bones – Passing through a pile of bones causes you to move slower for a short period of time.
Pursuit – Rezan starts pursuing a random enemy player. If he manages to catch up to the victim, he will Devour them.
- Devour – Rezan tries to eat the victim whole, inflicting 329788 Physical damage every 1 sec. for 8 sec.
Terrifying Visage – Causes enemies in line of sight to flee in fear for 6 sec.
Serrated Teeth – Rezan's bite causes the victim to bleed profusely for 8 sec. While bleeding in this manner, the victim takes an additional 50% more Physical damage.
Bone Quake – Rezan shakes the ground, waking all remaining bone piles.
This ability is used when Rezan reaches 50% health remaining.
