I'm having an issue trying to rename him. When you tame him his default name is Reban. I've used 2x Certificate of Ownership trying to change his name but it stays as Reban.

I've submitted a ticket in the hopes of correcting it but I doubt it will be answered anytime soon thanks to the recent Shadowlands launch. I'll reply when I get an answer if there's a fix or not.

Confirmed that you can tame on Heroic after obtaining a Simple Tome of Bone-Binding. Spawns at 80% during the King Dazar encounter. I'd recommend that you bring along a friend for Mchimba the Embalmer as it will still try to Entomb you, but may be soloable with enough burst or by using Feign Death and letting a Ferocity pet solo the boss.

Difficult to tame. Reban comes out at 80% and will randomly choose a target to leap to and do a claw channeled attack. After he stops the channel my tame progress bar cast bar reset, and it kept resetting everytime the mob hit my friend (playing a monk) who was not hitting the mob.

I ended up doing this.
1. Make sure Dazaar isn't going to do quaking leap on you
2. Wait for Reban to jump towards you
3. Disengage to get distance while Reban is coming at you
4. Cast immediately and hope the gusts of wind also don't hit you
5. Enjoy pet.

I did it on mythic with 2 friends (I dont know if they where truly needed, at least they where for the second boss) and it wasnt that hard you just need some luck and good placement :)

Solo tamed on heroic today.
it was somehow hard but after reading comments here switched to BM and things got smoother- died few times tried some tricks of my own especially on second boss the emballmer,
killed the guards first by pulling them to hallway with soulshape and cheetah and run to him after embalment and hit before resets health.

killed one by one and the boss left alone still spelling embalment .there the BM magic worked i pumped everything at first and then feign death and voila.
Another hard thing was shadow of zul before the king and i hit few and feign again and it worked. others are just hunter work.

You can solo Mchimba very easily by doing as much burst damage as possible before his first entomb cast, feign that and let your pet do the rest of the work.

Here's how I soloed it:

Pull boss

Feign death when Reban starts to cast the leap(this will reset him, making him stand still on the other side of the room)

Then make ur pet taunt the boss across the room from Reban(further away the better)

Then go to Reban dismiss ur pet and instantly start taming.

Got it my first try.

Taming Reban

Misdirect on to your pets.
Move them as far way to the right since Reban spawns left.
Wait for King Dazar to do a quaking leap and then move your pets back out with him.
Dismiss your pets and tame Reban, you'll have a huge window.

Just make sure there is not a tornado coming at you and it's an easy tame.

*NOTE
Mchimba the Embalmer is probably the hardest part soloing this place.
The two side guys reset if you feign entomb so go MM and using oil and food is enough to kill them before the cast ends.
Spec: 1 1 3 2 2 3 2

Then for Mchimba
Go BM, pop lust with a ferocity pet, and you'll get him low then feigned death on entomb cast. you'll have enough time to reset
Beastial wrath before feigning so it doesn't take long for your pets to finish the job.
Spec: 2 1 3 2 2 1 1

Hey hunters! Wanted to let you know turtle taming Reban works great. At level 70, I dismissed my pets and started the fight. Reban shows up. Just use Aspect of the Turtle and immediately hit tame on Reban. Worked pretty quick even though the boss was still on me. ;o) Such a cool looking pet!

- Tank –

  T'zala's [Savage Maul] increases its target's Phyiscal damage taken.
- Healer –
  [Gilded Destruction] inflicts Fire damage on all players.
  [Impaling Spear] periodically springs from the ceiling, inflicting heavy Phyical damage to players hit and causing them to bleed.

Reban

T'zala – When Dazar reaches 80% health, he will mount T'zala.
- Eternal Bond – The eternal bond between King Dazar and T'zala causes them to share 100% of all damage taken.
- Savage Maul – T'zala charges towards the target player and mauls them, inflicting 193965 Physical damage. The attack leaves behind a bleeding wound on the target, causing them to bleed for 48491 Physical damage every 1 sec and increasing their Physical damage taken by 10% for 10 sec.
- Quaking Leap – T'zala leaps at target players, inflicting 164870 Physical damage to players within 8 yards of impact.
