I'm having a problem when I get entombed by the boss. My interface locks up and I must type /reload to unlock it. Usually by this time I am dead. Any suggestion how to fix it?

I'm having the same issues on 2 toons. I use the standard UI so I don't know why it locks up after entomb. I can only see my action bars working after i reload.

This guy seems to be the block at the moment if you're trying to Solo King's Rest. You either need enough DPS to burn him down before the first entomb or a pet out and to feign the first entomb and let your pet finish the fight.

Not soloable, resets after casting entomb. Might be doable later with enough dps, otherwise, just bring someone with You.

Can be solo'd by hunter if you feign death on the entomb and let your pets finish him off.

Not solo able, and likely wont ever be in SL. You need to do 287k HP in like 20-30 sec's. GL with that. 9.3...maybe.

You can solo this as any class if you can do ~10k dps sustained over ~30 seconds. You just need to burst him down before he starts casting entomb.

Hunters can cast feign death to cancel the cast, and let their pets finish off the boss while they remained feigned. He does still hurt quite a bit, so you'll need to have him fairly low before you feign or you pets will likely end up dying.

Mages can cast mirror images at the very last moment before the cast finishes, they will keep the boss from despawning through the cast duration. Mchimba will spawn adds throughout the cast that hit like trucks, so you won't have long after you get out of the tomb before they kill you.

Rogues / Night elves can buy themselves just a couple extra seconds by canceling the Entomb cast by vanishing/shadowmending immediately after using a Cardboard Assassin, and the start attacking again. He'll immediately start casting it again, but if you're JUST missing the timer, you could try that.

Able to burn down solo as a 225 Sub Rogue in 9.1 to farm the mount. Need about 9.5-10k in your burst window to kill before entomb.

was able to solo as balance with convoke, on use trinkets and some consumables after a few attempts in 9.1 at ilvl 229

Hey everyone, I was able to solo as a Korthia geared Death Knight and no lust or consumables. Engaged the boss and when he started casting Entomb, I used "Raise Dead" summoning a pet before being dragged into a coffin. The pet kept the encounter going while the boss started opening each coffin to summon the additional adds. When he approaches your coffin, he will open that too releasing you. Continue the fight normally and he should die pretty easily after that.

Just soloed Mchimba the Embalmer as a BM Hunter, ilvl230.

Only pull one Interment Construct at a time. It seems like you can interrupt the health reset of the Interment Constructs, but it seems very inconsistent as to what exactly was happening when the reset was stopped. I believe it was a successful hit, although sometimes it just didn't seem to go off, and once I think a tar trap did it. I just kept trying (since they do zero damage at this level), and eventually I was able to kill them off.

The boss has the same mechanic, only when you get entombed the result was a boss reset.

So I burned the boss down until about half hit points, and just before he cast entombment hit Feign Death. It took a while but eventually my pets, a Core Hound and Scorpiod using talents: Animal Companion and Aspect of the Beast, was enough to get the boss down to where I could finish him off with Kill Shot just as he killed my Core Hound.

Ilvl 216 Affliction - not a chance. All dots and our minion disappears once entombed -> reset.

It seems that Blizz fixed this boss and he no longer resets when doing a solo run.
Just tried again and compared to some days ago, he doesn't cast entomb any more :)

Can confirm, you must have massive DPS to down him before entomb (I was a hunter, other specs should be able to do this no problem).

If a hunter:

*Side note I was specced Nightfae Dreamweaver which gives you hella burst damage, check Icy Veins for complete conduit setup. I did upwards of 15K DPS with an ilvl of 253 and only the Zereth Mortis legendary belt at ilvl 265 and Cypher Gear, so no real special gear from mythics or raids (aside from a cloak and wrists from TW rewards, but they were only 259).

Have a wolf with Primal Rage (wolves have best DPS and Time Warp ability)

Cast Misdirect onto Embalmer (probably don't have to, but why not?)

Send in pet(s)

Cast Aspect of the Wild, Bestial Wrath, Primal Rage, and Wild Spirits (if you're Nightfae).

DPS the hell out of him, ignore adds.

DPS adds when dead.

Profit.

Overview – Mchimba the Embalmer is a construct enchanted to entomb the ancient kings of Zandalar, and uses his powers to entomb players and prepare them for their eternal rest.
- Tank –
  Avoid [Burn Corruption].
  If you are [Entomb]ed, [Struggle] to let your friends know which crypt you are in!
  When players are [Entomb]ed, look for their signs of [Struggle] to free them!
- Healer –
  Heal players afflicted with [Dessication] above 90% health to remove it.
  If you are [Entomb]ed, [Struggle]to let your friends know which crypt you are in!
  When players are [Entomb]ed, look for their signs of [Struggle] to free them!
- Damage Dealers –
  If you interrupt [Drain Fluids] with an immunity, you will avoid [Dessication].
  If you are [Entomb]ed, [Struggle] to let your friends know which crypt you are in!
  When players are [Entomb]ed, look for their signs of [Struggle] to free them!
Burn Corruption – Burns the ground, inflicting 11365 Fire damage to players within 10 yards and creating a patch of Burning Ground.
- Burning Ground – Inflicts 8521 Fire damage every 2 sec. to any players inside a patch of Burning Ground.
Drain Fluids – Prepares the target for mummification by draining their fluids, inflicting 3788 Nature damage every 2 sec. for 8 sec. If the effect lasts the full duration, it applies Desiccation to the target.
- Desiccation – Reduces damage done by 50% and movement speed by 50%. Lasts until the target is healed above 90% health.
Entomb – Entombs the target within one of the crypts inside the chamber. After casting Entomb, Mchimba will move between the crypts, opening them one at a time, beginning with the crypts that do not contain the entombed player.
Releasing the Entombed player will interrupt the ritual, preventing Mchimba from releasing additional Half-Finished Mummies.
- Open Coffin – Opens one of the crypts, releasing the occupant. Each open coffin reduces the time required to open subsequent coffins.
- Struggle – While trapped, players can struggle against the doors of the crypt, alerting other players to their presence.
- Half-Finished Mummy – When a coffin that does not contain a player is opened, a Half-Finished Mummy will emerge and attack the party.
  - Wretched Discharge – Afflicts all players with a disease, causing 3788 Nature damage every 2 sec. for 12 sec.

Heroic and Mythic Difficulty Only

Kings' Rest is not available in Normal Difficulty.
