Feast of Winter Veil Now Live in Cataclysm Classic

Winter Veil is now live on Cataclysm Classic! The Feast of Winter Veil will run from December 15th until January 2nd. From December 25th you can open presents found under the tree in
Orgrimmar
and
Ironforge
.

Winter Veil Holiday Guide - Cataclysm Classic
Winter Veil Mounts and Pets
These Four companion pets are available during the Feast of Winter Veil in Cataclysm Classic, as well as more that are covered in the full guide.
Green Helper Box
Red Helper Box
Snowman Kit
Jingling Bell
These pets can be looted from the
Gaily Wrapped Present
, available from December 25th through January 2nd. You can use these pets any time of the year, but you will need a
Snowball
to summon them.
Two mount modifications are available during the Feast of Winter Veil in Cataclysm Classic.
Preserved Holly
and
Fresh Holly
. Both of them are one-time-use items that transform your mount into a reindeer. The difference is that
Fresh Holly
expires after 7 days, while
Preserved Holly
can be used (and sold) anytime throughout the year.
Winter Veil Achievements in Cataclysm Classic
In addition to the many events that are running during this world event, players can complete several objectives to gain achievements. Getting all of the achievements done will allow the player to gain the meta achievement
Merrymaker
, and the title Merrymaker <name>.
This meta achievement is required for
What A Long, Strange Trip It's Been
, in which the reward is a
Reins of the Violet Proto-Drake
mount.

From December 25th you can open presents found under the tree in Orgrimmar and Ironforge.
is misleading. You can't open presents in Orgrimmar as Horde. As Horde it is only in Ironforge.
