It’s finally time to dust off your Assassination Rogue, Brewmaster Monk, or Preservation Evoker and show what you’re capable of! During the Competition Period, completing any Mythic+ keystone on LIVE servers with a group made up entirely of the BTM-Eligible Specs will earn you a spot on the BTM Leaderboards. If you register for the Event via the BTM Registration Form, you’ll also be eligible to win some amazing prizes, including the Smoldering Banner of the Aspects!

The Competition Period lasts for the following dates:

Americas & Oceania: October 3 - October 10, 2023
Europe: October 4 - October 11, 2023
Korea & Taiwan: October 5 - October 12, 2023

The Competition Period for each region will begin and end with each region’s individual weekly reset times.

We will have a Break the Meta Leaderboard that you can use to keep track of your progress throughout the event. It will only show BTM-Eligible runs: Timed Runs that are made up entirely of the eligible specs listed below. You can also filter the Leaderboard by all of the usual selections, such as Regions, Brackets, Factions, etc. Keep an eye out on our Twitter and Discord for the link!

Rules

1. Break the Meta is open to players in all eligible regions.
2. In order for a run to be BTM-eligible, the dungeon must be completed in time and every player in the group must have played the entire dungeon as one of the eligible specializations.
3. Each Blizzard Account is only eligible for one of each of the different prizes.
4. We reserve the right to disqualify any run for any reason.
5. To be eligible for prizes you must register via the Break the Meta Registration Form before registration closes at 11:59pm PDT on October 15th, 2023.
6. Prizes other than the Smoldering Banner of the Aspects will be distributed via the Discord Account or Email provided during Registration. If we do not hear back from you within 48 hours of attempting to award you a prize, then your prizes will be forfeited.
7. The Smoldering Banner of the Aspects and Game Time prizes are available to players from all eligible regions. They stated (on their discord) that "all players" should be able to participate so for druids which someone already mentioned only feral is considered "non-meta" and for monks its Brew and MW which is non-meta. Some classes will usually never be hyper represented unless they are busted like surv hunter was in part of SL.
