Those Monk Orbs are "Head" items, right? I really hope they'll separate certain slots into cosmetic slots.

For the "Head" slot, there could be:

Helm - anything truly worn on top of your head, like Helms, Hats, Cowls. For gameplay, this is the slot where we actually equip items.
Face - Glasses, Masks
Necks - Scarves, these Orbs

Or for the "Back" slot:

Cloaks - any regular cloak
Backpieces - any 3D thingy, like backpacks, quivers etc.

Risks of bad clipping? Whatever, it's the players' choice to do that.
