LMAO the free set.
Man they all look like crap. The only good looking one is the Paid Battle Pass set. But even that has no class uniqueness.
The difference in quality between the paid sets and the free one is appalling. I don't know how anyone can support this sort of predatory business style at this point.
It's a little disingenuous to list only that set under free. The items that drop in game have their own cosmetic looks, most of which are actually better looking than the paid sets. If you're going to hate on something about D4, at least paint the whole picture rather than cherry pick something to make it look bad.
Looks about right that there's that many paid transmog since just about every other article on my guilds Discord is Wowhead posting about another new armor shop added to the game.
What do you mean "paid" ? It's already a paid game, so there can't be paying content in it, right ?
The free set is blizzard dressing you as a literal peasant for being too poor to buy premium.
That's what Blizzard thinks is a reasonable set to release on a $99 game. It's absurd that D4 has been so appallingly bad, but instead of FASTER fixes they're releasing cash grab sets. Why can't tens of billions a quarter be enough Blizzard.
simple solution, don't buy any of it. That's the only thing Actiblizz will understand is you don't spend money on their cash shop.
Some of the paid sets are absolutely amazing. My only issue is the price. If this were a free game then I wouldn't have any issue with paying the current set prices, but it's not. On the other hand, if the sets were truly amazing and maybe had wings, *hint hint*, I would be more inclined to purchase them!
I’d rather you pay for skins than pay for player power.
Considering I paid $120AU for the best version and that it has a battle pass, there should be NO cash shop.It should be one or the other. Either Cash Shop or Battle Pass.If the game was free then it wouldn't be a problem to have both.
I am not categorically opposed to a cash shop provided that (1) there are equally good looking items available through playing the game, and (2) that the prices are reasonably proportionate to what you’re getting. It’s one thing for a free game to charge a lot of money for cosmetics as that’s their own form of monetization, but another entirely for a game that costs $100 to sell barely modified reskins of gear existing in the game for $20+ a pop. But at the end of the day, no one is making you buy it so if you don’t want to just… don’t. Personally, I haven’t bought a single thing (back when I still played the game) because none of it appealed to me in the least. So I just ignored that entire aspect of the game. And then promptly the game itself because it sucks.
pretty disgusting for a payed game. with micro transactions. does the gear at least have looks or you just look like a red shirt goon forever
You thought you were buying a game. What you bought was a Diablo-themed cash shop.Remember the people swearing up and down back in the day that Activision would have no effect on the company and everyone were Chicken Littles worrying about nothing? Wonder what they think now.
