So it's massively overtuned. These clueless Blizzard devs have no idea what they are doing and keep creating anti fun content...This is basically another thing to do once for that 0.1% of playerbase like world first raiders and MDI champions... Such a waste of development resources... Never underestimate how out of touch Blizzard devs can be with own customers.
I only tried the first 4 bosses on PTR with a random group. It was our first time doing the dungeon, and without any add-ons I'm playing suboptimally (I need my ElvUI for displaying debuffs and action bars. Not sure how much the default UI has improved over time, but I won't relearn everything just for the PTR).Even so, the first 2 bosses were alright. The third one is a bit tricky and the Corrupted Mind duration increase is rough. Iridikron is brutal even if you know what you're doing.I get it that the devs want to be safe than sorry. Tazavesh became irrelevant after one week outside the achievements. You realistically need 440+ itemlevel for the dungeon which isn't hard to get just time-consuming. Having a challenge for a filler patch until 10.2 arrives isn't a bad thing.... but this is still too much.
Anyone expected it to be easy haven't been playing the same game for at least a decade.Frontloading with over-tuned difficulty on release has been their mantra for a very long time, nothing changed there!
Eh. This will hit live people will complain about it being overtuned and then it will get massively nerfed.
I wanted to do this on the release day to see the conclusion of the story of Nozdormu in-game and without getting spoiled. Rip that dream.
Good to see Blizzard still only designs content for boosters and high level mythic plus players while the rest 90 % of the playerbase pays for it
Generally you want these dungeons to be around the same difficulty as a Heroic Raid.Grab 5 people, give it a two hour run.On the PTR it was really really weak. Like LFR levels on some fights.
This needs to be tuned more leniently or participation metrics are going to be low, and the content is going to go to waste.I thought that the whole point of making the rewards have higher item levels than the usual Mythic mega-dungeons, but apparently this is meant to be a 5-man raid for hardcore raiders to progress onto. This could have been content for alts or casual players. Such a shame. It’s not turtles all the way down. It’s raiding all the way down. Even open world content requires raid groups now.
Those numbers look very low still. I expect this will be extremely easy up until last 2 bosses, but we'll have to wait and see.
So when we do get hardmode? Doing it deathless is cool but hardmode has been a staple.
SO true all you say Athenamonica I wish there were some kind of upvote function here
I hope they nerf it later...Classic is proof that a game doesn't need elitist crap to be popular.
Im so glad they added the idea of mythic raid but in 5 man form. class balance will probably be an issue for this but im super hyped to do literaly mythic raid prog in 5 MAN GROUP. SOOOOOO HYPED!
I haven't done the dungeon on PTR, however I saw a clip of Mrgm doing it. From what I saw, the bosses were more on the easier side, however if you made any significant errors, you could easily die. The bosses also had some one shots. From these development notes, and from comparing the Mrgm's clip, I have a feeling the dungeon will be very difficult, and not only because of mechanics, but also due to a gear check. I'm currently 443 ilvl, which means I'm near BIS, but I was kinda hoping I could do the dungeon with my 410-415 ilvl toons, and since it's gonna be difficult like this, I doubt this will happen. We'll see on live I suppose. My opinion on this? I think the buffs are not really needed. Why? Because on week 1, majority of hardcore players or us with high gear / experience will clear it, meanwhile more casual players will struggle, and demand it gets nerfed (which I understand). Thus these buffs are just unneccesery. Keep in mind they will also release the dungeon in the next M+ season, and it's probably gonna be overtuned as hell, same as Tazavesh was, and later on they will swing the nerf bat so hard, that they will make it easy af.
