Hope the chapter rewards are place holder: x bit of currency (we know its gonna be a small amount), random tree of whispers box (grey quality to boot), and random utility aspect - seems lackluster imo
When you're playing through the campaign on a seasonal character? More confusion for casuals?
title say campaign will progress the battle pass. last paragraph says it wont. wich is it? XD
Please let us prog the battlepass on eternal not everyone wants to run seasonal and if you can't do BP on eternal folks might just stop playing.
People already say they wont play seasons without ranking AND they are heavily monetizing it with the Premium Battle Pass, and the Amazon Prime Free Battle Pass Tiers. This season will make or break the game. If there's zero content and just predatory monetization it wont last long.Diablo 3 NEVER recovered after the first year, rmah and removal of trading caused player loss of 20% per year, expansion and DLC didn't even help. The ONLY arpg in history to actually gain players year after year was PoÉ.
@EYameiPeople don't understand exactly what was wrong with diablo3. The auction house itself wasnt as big of an issue as the fact that it was designed like diablo immortal. The RNG on items was so insane that it would literally take you years to find an upgrade which forced you into the auction house. If you could have ignored it and found gear legit on your own then it wouldnt have been half as bad. Since D3 had no pvp its not like pay2win was giving an unfair advantage... Though the difficulty level of the game was also stupid. The fact that diablo3 was so heavily dependent on your weapon damage. Look at diablo1 & 2. A naked mage could still kill things. A naked mage in diablo3? literally does 1 dps. The weapon was more important than your primary stat. Primary stat was just a baby boost to your dmg.Maybe you never went back to diablo3 but the expansion was definitely a turn in the right direction. But they werent going to reprogram the game from the ground up so the only way to make the game feel good to play was to amplify the dmg modifiers by a stupid amount.Diablo4 seems to have a similar issue of not fixing stuff that was obvious in beta but that has been blizzard for a while. diablo3 beta was the first 13 levels because they didnt want to spoil the story "trust us end game is amazing" The beta lasted 8 months... that was 8 months they could have known their end game sucked ass and spent time fixing it but their arrogance of "we know whats best for the players" is a rec curing issue in gaming that is destroying many games. The gem bag issue being a perfect example here. they knew for at least 2 months from betas that a gem bag was needed. game releases and they have a month+ before the first season to also address the issue... nah its gonna take us 6 months to fix..... HOW? yea they have a lot of other fires to put out from the game not being properly tested but god damn. put 1 person on fixing the bag issue. They act like it takes a team of 30 people to fix even the most minor of issues. Its funny how diablo3 added paragon to try and fix end game feeling empty. Now we have an infinite level grind. Oh but now we have seasons so none of your non season paragon even matters because why would you be STUPID and play non season when theres rewards to be had in seasons? diablo4 will be the same dull uninspired seasonal grind as diablo3. Innovation was needed here to make something great. But innovation is dead.
