What's the difference between a bow and a crossbow? How many affixes can my Rare quality armor have? How do you change out an affix on gear that does nothing for your build? These questions swirled through our heads during the Diablo IV Beta - and we've released a guide that answers them all, and more!
Diablo IV introduces some changes to the gearing system of the Diablo franchise, and even long time players may sometimes scratch their heads when interacting with the new systems and choosing the best gear for their class and build. We cover every inch of the new gear, from tooltips to sockets and everything in between.
Gear Selection and Itemization in Diablo IV
How can you tell that this item was crafted and an affix was changed? We detail exactly how you can tell the difference between a fresh-dropped item off a demon's corpse, and one that's been altered with the in-game systems.
We don't just stop there, though - anything you can think of, from determining what properties are inherent to what base types, all the way to upgrading your gear with the Blacksmith and Jeweler to maximize their power, are covered in this guide. Knowledge is power, and better gear is certainly more power - it's a match made in Heaven (or, more appropriately, Hell)!
We'll be updating all of our guides as the world of Sanctuary is fully explored during the launch of Diablo IV in June - check in for the latest information, including Unique properties, the potential for crafting super-Legendaries, and more!
We'll see you in Sanctuary!
