Is it already known how far we'll be able to upgrade crafted gear by farming +16/20s? 447 seems to be the high-mythic ilvl, with 450 being reserved for the last two bosses.
So a +8 will give vault loot that can be upgraded to the max level, and all vault loot can be upgrade to the equivalent of 411.End of dungeon loot - Loot from +2s or higher can be upgraded to 424 (normal end boss), loot from+9s or higher can be upgraded to 437 (heroic end boss) and loot from +17s or higher can be upgraded to 441 (mythic first boss)I think they've done a good job of making sure there's no reason to sit at a certain key level and there's always rewards for pushing higher (until 20s).16s give the aspect crests, 17s give hero track loot, 18s give loot better than you can upgrade to in the vault, 20s give bis M+ ilvl in vault.technically there's a bit of a gap at 19s, but if you're doing 19s you're probably lacking in the crests that drop from 11-15s, and the better end of dungeon loot saves you one of those.
good, now lower the weekly highest for vault down to 18
Anyone know how much they are going to squish our keystones by when Season 2 starts? Comparing loot charts above I would think maybe 5 levels. I've been talking with some of my guildies that we need to push ourselves to target the level we want to start at for next season.
Very nice change. The first few weeks were brutal in season 1 because the end of dungeon rewards were so weak.
There are going to be problems until they figure out that they need to make items up-gradable fully from the smallest key/LFR to the biggest. This is why the PVP system works so well. There isn't this restriction.I suggest Blizzard makes it an interesting path, they already have made the crests just make it so that 10 crests can put an item in a new category. This will save a lot of complaining in the long run and can be tweaked (5 crests? 25 crests) for balance
Yeah, I don’t care how much they buff the Great Vault ilvls because at the end of the day it’s just 1 piece of gear per week with an ever increasing chance of getting repeats or items for the same slot. The Great Vault is just an illusion of a reward, I realized that a long time ago and haven’t touched M+ since. With every expansion M+ not only gets more difficult but also turns into much more of a grind and consequently a slog. Hard pass for me.
Great change. Actually interested in running M+ again in S2.
They basically just dropped out LFR level loot from the vault. mid heroic to Mythic M+ requirement is still the same.
I don't like this Blizzard change, in which they require M+20 for the maximum reward from the Great Vault. The old loot table system was much better, because it allowed all classes to progress fairly equally, and was more accessible to casual players. Nowadays, having no premade group, some classes/specialties were excluded from equal progression - their damage/healing/toughness didn't allow them to pursue content freely (for example, my BM needed about 410ilvl to be able to pursue higher M+18-20 content with PUG, while some specialties were able to do it already having 405, and even that 405 they were able to get much earlier). Instead of equal development, we had and actually have a disjunction of people with max ilvl who had premade or were a featured class, and people who are now hitting 415 after unlocking valors and just starting M+20 progress.Remember - it's only one item per week, to get the whole max ilvl eq you need as much as 15 weeks - that's almost 4 months! And all this is provided that you are lucky enough and always find some upgrade in GV (which is not the rule). You should also remember that Blizzard with the entry of Dragonflight also changed the scaling dungeons and the current M+20 is like ~M+22 in Shadowlands. The upcoming season also promises to be quite challenging (especially during Forti weeks) - I think the second week will be productive with a wall of nerfs fixes (especially HoI)
