No. Way! i mean maybe it's linked to the baby world tree and such. but oh my GOD this is just so much fanservice, i can't deal with it all! it's so great! DF just gets better and better as the story develops! loving it!also: emerald dream glaive, GIB !
While a lot of the world interaction features of Dragonflight are amazing and really innovative for WoW, I don't know if we're at the point of depicting a lore accurate Emerald Dream yet, unless they do just double down on the linear instanced raid 'green forest' look, despite it definitely being a lot more than that in it's true lore. Here's hoping, I especially hope they'll at least acknowledge lore vs gameplay if they can't depict it in a way aligned to it's concept as an ethereal, ever-flowing, timeless spirit realm. Blizzard recently has a track record of nerfing old things in terms of how important they are to the world to prop up new things. I.E.: Valdrakken taking the lore from Wyrmrest Temple / the Chamber of the Aspects, etc. I'd hope they aren't about to try and say the Rift of Aln and all the other out of game lore locations that are actually important to the Emerald Dream / it's supernatural mechanics are no longer canon just so they can try to make their new thing look cooler without the 'but it's missing this' thing. A lot of the current nature lore feels too rooted in Shadowlands bs and not really considerate towards the greater symbolism of nature lore in Warcraft. I think it's gonna really boil over until they just finally handwave Ardenweald because of how much is contradicts, and just go with the OG lore. For a lot of casual fans, stuff like a new world tree is cool, but stands out when you consider the entire meta story of Teldrassil was about how growing that world tree was a mistake and they just barely kinda salvaged it when Malfurion came back.
I suppose it is possible. I mean the crowd that always goes "Emerald Dream zone is coming up next guys!" Would statistically have to be right eventually?
If we finally get to the Emerald Dream, a full outdoor zone as they are suggesting, it would be very cool if all of the entrances in different points of Azeroth could lead you to that zone, not only the big portal in On'hanan planes, would be a nice way to include the WORLD in it, even if it's just a little nod.Maybe there could be small invations in those zones similar to what happened with N'zot.
https://youtu.be/_l2brpYq960?t=33^Change gray to green. And that’s what I’ll have to say for anyone being hyped for an emerald dream expansion, much less patch.
Probably a small zone that'll be added for 10.1.7.
Maybe they hid a guardian rework in there as well?
Dont you remember the mysterious realm of Thros ?Her dreams song beneath the surface. Our dreams, our song."
Kind of hope not... its interesting in concept but it doesnt really pan out well in execution
If 10.1 is meant to be about black dragons - what would they do in what is normally the green dragon domain? This is maybe more like a lead in to 10.2 where we help the green dragons and this whole Ysera story arc. Then again maybe its a quest zone for a small segment of quests.
This feels like a reach, 'blackdragon' refers to the theme of the item and 'outdoor' refers to the acquisition method. How long have ya'll been datamining and you never noticed that's how naming convention works on this stuff all the time? It'll probably be a reward for a continued part of the Tyrande storyline, which will no doubt reuse the dreamgrove again.I'd love to be proven wrong, but there's no real evidence to support this Emerald Dream patch theory yet.

YES! I've always wanted to explore the Dream as a whole!
I have just one question, what exactly is Emerald Dream and when was it created for real?I've read two different things, one is that Titans created Emerald Dream as a blueprint or backup copy of the recently created Azeroth, long before old gods and that backup copy was meant for a reset in case of anything goes wrong to bring Azeroth back to it's pure condition.I've also read when Titans "discovered" Azeroth (after wandering around in the cosmos/nether), it was already infested by old gods and when they tried to kill them off they realized it will also destroy Azeroth itself since the old gods had their roots so deep within the Azeroth that it was pretty much impossible to get rid of them. Hence they imprissoned those old gods rather than killing them off.Emerald Dream makes sense for the first one but how and when did they create Emerald Dream if the second story is true? 🤔
Unpopular opinion:I would most enjoy an "Emerald Dream" patch if it basically reused the layout of all the surface Dragon Isles zones, removed all the buildings and signs of mortal races, and covered it in a more natural texture. It wouldn't need to have the density of a single zone's activities for me, just give me the whole isles and spread the content out across it. Lemme see what the Emerald Dream looks like at the Obsidian Citadel, what the Azure Span was meant to be. You can still get some interesting biomes out of that.Kinda like how Patch 9.1 added the 'Rift' to the Maw - just a phase of the Maw that made it feel like a slightly off-reality plane. That's the kind of Emerald Dream I want, personally.
You know I seriously hope that the Emerald Dream will finally be a Content Zone for once instead of a Instance for the Emerald Nightmare Raid and the Druid Instance too. I myself would be happy to see what the Emerald Dream would look like with bits of the Emerald Nightmare with the Drust Stuff and of course Emerald Dragons with the Queen and Malfurian himself again.
