I haven't been following this that closely, did they remove the talent that gives 20% armor, 10% stam, and 10% avoidance? I couldn't find it on the updated trees.
Avoidance and aoe dmg reduction is the same thing.
Nodes in the class tree that require a certain spec? Well, that kinda defeats the purpose... but if they're going to do it for Paladin, I guess Druids have something to look forward to.
Thank god they kept auto crusader strike
What a &*!@ing terrible precedent to set.
Divine Hammers, eh? Not a bad move to whip up.
Is it me or is the new focus of the spec blade of justice with terrible talents to get the basic effects back? Like empyrian power is connected to a blade of justice talent. Somehow that makes sense."Enemies hit by divine storn take more damage from CONSECRATION and divine hammers" WTF? 25% of nothing is still nothing!Rebuke is still a talent instead of baseline.Auras are a non-optional talent. Completely pointless to have it there.I could go on but I just cant take this dumb design in anymore. These devs have no clue what they are doing. The only way to actually make sense of all talents is to create branches that allow for actual specialization. Not this mess where all talents are just randomized in the tree. Create a branch for all crusader strike talents, move abilities into the spellbook instead of only available through talents instead of forcing players to select them (especially when its completely useless to our playstyle) to get to a must-have passive, create ultimate talents that feel "ultimate" and actually make a difference instead of minor buffs.Maybe make consecration useful outside pvp and not give it a tiny heal thats not actually helping.Dont buff crusader strike damage because thats really not a source of damage.Get rid of this "must spend X points to unlock the next row". We connected the dots. Let us proceed instead of wasting points!
Arrows, arrows everywhere!
Can't say I'm surprised that the Class tree is becoming spec specific, it happened with talent system 2.0, just didn't expect it to happen so fast. Shame, because it does defeat the purpose and now I wouldn't be surprised if the class tree ends up being removed in a future expansion.I agree with what many others are saying though. It should remain identical to all specs, there should be less throughput talents in the class tree, and abilities like 'Punishment' either need to be made available to all specs or it gets moved to the spec tree. It is awkward because it needs to branch off Rebuke, so moving it to the ret tree can only work if the Rebuke proc is a secondary function of an existing Crusader Strike talent, like Heart of the Crusader. Still, much prefer Punishment to be functional for all three specs, like having it generate Holy Power without the need of proccing Crusader Strike.
I think that a separate class tree was a mistake from the start, they should have completely focused on spec identity like they did in Legion. They should just delete the class trees, the spells which are shared across the class could be made baseline and they should completely focus on spec trees and making sure that every spec has interesting choices and that it's fun to play.
For all the complaints of the Spec-Specific Talents in the Class Tree...Frankly, Unbound Freedom SHOULD be there, for all 3 specs. It is entirely a universal utility piece. Spec tree should be for throughput of your role. This isn't what I call a solution to fixing Ret's mobility, by taking a PvP talent and making it a universal one.Punishment makes sense to be in Class, cause it is directly related to taking Rebuke (a Class Tree skill), which is a point you CAN skip (don't know why you WOULD, but you can). I don't see much issue with it being offered to the other specs, either.Healing Hands is the hard one.- Only Ret has it- Prot gets some of the effect from Hand of the Protector spec talent on the right side, row 7- Holy wouldn't need the effect of it for WoG to begin withSo... that one, maybe should be back in the Spec tree, but definitely positioned in such a way it can be bypassed. As it stands, aside from the dead center having all the defensives for Ret, the spec points are stretched THIN as it is to get all the stuff you might want for a build. Plus, we lack the options for a Radiant damage build (only would be Wake of Ashes, Blade of Justice, and Expurgation, presently), like we have for Holystrike, making the idea of it incredibly trap-worthy right now.Crusading Strikes was rightly nerfed down to 1 Holy Power every 2 hits. We are still flooded with HP in testing.Any complaints to do with damage numbers though... if you think there is any semblance of balance tuning done yet, you are a naive fool, considering Blizzard themselves have outright said they have not started tuning the damage values of the changes yet. Right now, the goal is to get the feel right, and then make the damage line up. And for the most part, it feels pretty great.
Judgement has 8 (!) different talents to boost it. Its just way too much. 4 would be more than enough.
I'll keep saying this until these changes are reverted: It's not a CLASS tree if different SPECS have completely different nodes. Welcome to specialization tree lite. Jeez, whoever is working on paladin trees now needs to stop.
