I saw some previews of the new UI that had crossbar action buttons, like FFXIV (for controller support clarity) but I can't figure out how to recreate it.
the New UI will take some getting use too but I like it (and thats coming from someone whose used the base UI since vanilla). my only issues are some of the frames dont like to stay in the place they are moved too, like the stance bar, and the target of target frame, and I dont like that I cant put the map further into the top right of the screen (and the time not being at the bottom)other than those I think the new UI is a good change
Technically action bar 3 was set to 2 rows and set to right of action bars 1 and 2This more accurately mimics pre dragonflight UI
Does this import take into consideration different monitor sizes? That was an issue my friends and I had on the Beta. The locations of the objects were off various degrees depending on how big the monitor was that created it to the monitor that is using it.
It doesn’t have the old gryphons, and the ones most complaining as I have seen have an aversion to 3rd party wow sites. Really do feel like they’ll complain still.
Appreciate the sharing Wowhead team. I’m still sticking to ELVUI myself, but had time to play with the new UI and old UI in beta and live now. There is still a lot to be desired for the updated UI. I was expecting some customization to unit frames like we can do with party/raid frames. That said, I like that they’re trying to stay modern and go with the change. I was a bit puzzled that they didn’t include an option to allow users to revert to the original appearance though. Now people are trying to achieve this through addons, which defeats some of Blizz goals I would think. To the anti-ELVUI or anti-base UI users, just support everyone to use whatever they prefer. If someone still prefers OG Ui, so be it. If you haven’t used ELVUI and find it intimidating, there are some great guides out there. Personally love it and have donated for years. Hope everyone enjoys DF!
Just need an addon that fixes the horrid art downgrade, including the play-doh gryphons and the INCORRECT rare borders, and everything will be fine.
Im currently using elvui from today with minimal features for two reasons 1 the new ui literally makes me nauseous ( which i have not done any beta testing) to look at and cus im waiting for the update for the ui addon i actually use classic ui.
.
The only thing I don't like is the mini-map, since they removed a lot of the options to de-clutter it. Given how the pitch was to give the player more choice, arbitrarily removing player choice for the mini-map seems a bit asinine. I'm assuming there will eventually be an addon that just re-integrates the removed options.
Someone make UI thats the same as Classic Wotlk please. It's so much better than the new stuff....
the new "improved" ui (which isn't a lateral improvement at all, and falls hilariously short of any addon thats existed for ten+ years) is garbage.its the half baked version of any modded ui. "sleek" and new =/= good. that gryphon art from 2004 is tight. stylistically better than the new version. i love that they considered a wyvern but its just too cartoony. more of a direction that is just not the reason why i boot up my pc. this is why diablo 2 is better than 3. this is why classic is better than retail. etc etc.people.like.good.art.download bartender 4. use the classic blizzard bars setting, and enjoy being forced to actually download a decent ui mod.
The golden dragons for elites was intentionally removed by blizzard.
