Do we know if you can convert the crafted gear to tier pieces with the creation catalyst? May be OP considering you could just buy tier at that point...
Pay to win crafted gear confirmed. Now all they have to do is purposely make the actual gear from the raids horribly itemized so you will want to spend wow tokens and buy perfectly stated crafted gear.
Just use the BFA model without the random stats. 2 "guaranteed" slots after a few weeks with BiS stats is more than fine especially when one was also a fairly high stat weight (pants).
pay 2 win inc!
Interesting but it depends on where your BiS comes from. If your BiS weapo. Comes from anything higher than 3 ilvls above the early bosses this may be wasted gold if you're trying to min/max.
Pointlessly convoluted system if the best crafted gear can only be crafted by raiding. If you raid, you already get the highest ilevel gear - instead, they could have opened the door to entirely new avenue of gameplay.
I find this to be interesting as for while I always want craft gear be able stand up with raid gear as feel currently if you do something like blacksmithing you just do it for that one piece of gear otherwise you kind of don't use it really. Also while it is pay to win its coming from community not just the server also stupid say pay to win because yes you can buy wow token but you can grind it as easily more or less if you have the time to set it up. Honestly going enjoy this part about my crafting professions as going be new way of gold making and gearing up :P
Just one item, or you can go full gear with these things?
I know it's not the popular opinion but I really don't think this is the way to make professions more relevant and will end up with some tears. That being said I'd rather this than the old profession locked bonuses that lead to having a BIS profession as per classic wow, especially TBC and Wrath and I still think there was a fairly strong element of that in Cata.I just want to see what they do with fishing, if they indeed do anything of course.
everyone saying pay2win has no idea how the new professions work, obtaining the highest quality/ilvl of gear is going to take an insane amount of work and grinding on the crafters part. its very unlikely this gear will be a viable option early on in seasons as its gonna take a while for crafters to level up, think of it more of a mid-end season option to fill out slots.
Ugh all the pay to win nay-sayers. Guys, if it takes an incredible amount of work for a coordinated raid team to craft these items early in a tier, what do you think that means for their value on the AH? They’re going to be astronomical. In that list of reagents are also BoP items the crafter must supply, that will drive the price of a mythic piece even higher.Guaranteed these items will be multiple millions of gold, per. The player with that much gold isn’t buying the items, they’re buying the run so they get their achieves and mount.
