Wow, a really touching story just in a side quest. Nothing epic about it, no grand adventure, no stories about death defying stunts or long odds. Just a nicely written story about an old dragon opening up to the player character. Not because they are the "champion" or "Maw Walker", but just because they were a kind ear bent towards listening to someone that just needed to be heard. This is really good stuff and I hope to find even more of this throughout the next xpac!
It's in small stories like this that I still find beauty and maturity in Azeroth. Will be rooting for our friend Veritistrasz.
Typical Blizzard quest. They have many of these with each expansion, always broadening the lore with these heartfelt moments. Love it.
Although I really appreciate this more RPG content in-game.It also makes me laugh a little bit. This generic dialogue of a dragon telling me about how it feels to miss home clashes a little with my RPG character story, since Auberdine, were my night elf character was born, is no more thanks to dragons XD.
He'll either end up tending to the eggs again or he'll die protecting a black dragon.
For those who may not have paid much attention or missed it, the "Ebyssian" they mention briefly who was cleansed is of course Ebonhorn, the Black dragon disguising as a Highmountain Tauren elder in Highmountain, and who also plays a part in BFA in empowering the Heart of Azeroth with the power of the dragonflights (and naturally, who will also show up in DF).
Why weren't Draenei given something like this on Argus. *headdesk.*
Lightforged Draenei plays the world's smallest violin for a moody lizard.
Honestly feels like a dialogue where Night Elves, Draenei and others should get unique dialogue to commiserate on the loss of an ancient(and recent in the Night Elves case) home.
*big brain thoughts*He is not the only 10k+ old being on Azeroth, far from the only dragon of that age, even. Can't he ask others if they remember the name of that black dragon he loved? Especially the aspects... Two are still there.*big brain thoughts*
Wow. As bad as shadowlands was. It’s stuff like this that gives a little glimmer of hope for this expansion. One day I hope they include some quests to return to our starting areas to visit our relatives and friends that would be cool
Small things like this is what brings life to the world
"10,000 years is a long time."Bro I main a Draenei, that's like a day or two TOPS.
This! This is what we need more of in WoW!
When I started reading the article I thought, OK this is going to be a addon flick through freebie quest for 12g. Once i'd finished I thought there should be cutscenes and narration. Seems worthy of something more that just a text skip.
