I think the cast time on prayer of mending was removed in this weeks alpha build (correct me if I'm wrong)
Wasn't wicked star supposed to silence like Anduin's one? Tooltip doesn't show that anymore, but it was in Blizzard's preview.
Wasn't it stated in Alpha Build 44795, that they removed the casttime of Prayer of Mending?
Not taking life grip ඞ
Hard agree. Though the PoM cast time being changed was done after this was written, I don't think it would change much would it? Nicely written.
That is ALOT of new buttons! can they unbloat Disc and Shadow Priest already?
I agree with the analysis. On the other hand, I have some disagreement with the specialization tree. Not taking Castigation, Rapture and Stolen Psyche seems very weird to me.So I would remove: Dark Indulgence (1pt), Harsh Discipline (1pt) and Lesson of Humility (2pts), to take Rapture (1pt), Castigation (1pt) and Stolen Psyche (2pts).Castigation is a solid overall damage upgrade and looks better than Dark Indulgence. Also, Harsh Discipline doesn't look good. We want a controlled damage burst, not a random one.Stolen Psyche also looks better than Lesson of Humility. 20% damage on a burst spell is better than 20% on Smite with the added condition of having 3 expiations active. Considering that the damage is only really significant during the burst phase following the ramp.Rapture is just too powerful to ignore.
I really hope discipline gets to be viable in DF, unlike in Shadowlands. During the Shadowlands beta discipline was looking REALLY good for M+ and it instantly got nerfed and with a single nerf it was completely destroyed and never looked at again. On the other hand, during SL, holy priest kept getting minor buffs over time which ended up making it the best healer in pve and pvp content (still is). Discipline, being the healer that needs to do damage in order to heal, deals LESS damage than the healer who can just top people in a single button and then spam damage abilities; it makes no sense.
Make spirit shell great again.
The entire time I was reading this, I was disagreeing with almost everything said UNTIL I saw that the very end of it framed the context in raids, to which I agree. I would recommend bumping that disclaimer up to the beginning, as much of the changes in these trees look *really* sweet for M+, especially with the potential for a raw penance playstyle being on the table.
Why even give Prism if it has no synergy with atonement? Shadowfiend damage goes into it so it makes no sense for its cleave not to. Such a weird design choice. Also, giving a bunch of Shadow school support with a Shadow Covenant rework yet removing Mind Sear is a super questionable decision I still don't understand. Would it be the BEST cast in many scenarios? No, absolutely not, yet removing the option of a damage filler seems super odd to me.
