I wish you could choose Gatherer for profession. Which would entail skinning as well as Herb and mining. Otherwise, I agree, now is the time to make them secondary professions.
Making the gathering professions into secondary and available to every single character is a TERRIBLE idea. The prices for the the mats (Ore, Skins, Herbs) would drop down to mere silvers per most likely, due to the market being flooded in a biblical proportion. Heck, the region wide AH setup for those mats is already going to cut prices by like 50% most likely with 10.0.
Not to mention make gathering a complete pain if every character can now do it.
As much as I'd love to have mining w/ my BS & Enchanting, it would make mat prices plunge for all gathered items.
I think combining mining, herbalism and skinning into a single profession would be nice. I wouldn't make it a secondary profession. It should still take one slot of primary ones. And with the specialization you can have easy 3 "talent trees" for each of them.
nomi has a suspicios nag for meat recipes, being a pandaren and all..i just want a tomato salad :(
Instead of gathering being secondary what about engineering being secondary - that one is simply too usefull and many people take it as must have.
I'd rather have more depth to gathering professions than having them be available to every character.
I actually think that there will be more people in the - I don't want to mess with this - than in the - Yeah sure, make me money. I think that it is confusing in the state that it is in. It doesn't go into depth about what each of the stats mean. Unless I missed it. I would love to know how you gain the points.Let's be honest here. The rush of EVERY raid at the beginning of a patch/expansion means that rushing to have flasks, potions, and cauldrons is going to be difficult for most raid teams. And with people haven't to "relearn" a high curved profession system, I see this being a major problem. MAJOR problem!I don't mind the change. But it seems laggy. It seems slow. It seems bulky. And the resource bag they have won't be enough for one profession let alone two.
how can you have something called "decayology" and then make an alchemist wear that outfit. what a contrast. change the outfit!
I think the market will regulate itself. If there is too many gatherers and matts are too cheap, they will stop gathering thus increasing price, and so on until it balances out. Everyone should be also able to gather for themselves if AH too expensive.BTW why they can't design nice, ornamental interface and instead they create those ugly soulless ones. Ugly, ugly, ugly. Ugly.UGLY!
The appearance of specialisation trees for crafting remind me a bit of the Underlight Angler fishing pole. Its 'talent' tree looked like this: https://imgur.com/ctgA5YqThough obviously more complex. I really dont mind the concept at all, if it creates fun and interesting content tied to crafting.
