Final Fantasy VII Remake Gets an Updated Release Titled Intergrade - Last year's RPG hit is getting an update for the PlayStation 5 with new graphical upgrades, quality of life improvements, and a new chapter starring Yuffie. The PS5 upgrade is free for existing Final Fantasy VII Remake owners, but there's a catch.

Final Fantasy VII Remake is on PS Plus in March with a Big Caveat - While FFVII Remake is free on PS+ in March, those versions will not be able to upgrade to Intergrade. You will either need a purchased copy on PS4, at which point you buy the Yuffie DLC chapter on PS5, or purchase everything on PS5 new in June.

The Next Iteration of PlayStation VR Will Incorporate DualSense Features - Sony began the week by announcing that the PlayStation VR successor, which they alluded to before the PS5's launch, will be out sometime after this year. The headset will only require a single wire to the console and will sport a new controller with DualSense features.

Sony Shuts Down Japan Studio - The creators of games like Parappa the Rapper and Gravity Rush have been closed down amidst internal PlayStation Worldwide Studios restructuring, seemingly because of poor performance of their titles. Team Asobi, the developers of the Astrobot games, have been spun out to a separate team.

Monster Hunter Rise is Coming to PC in 2022 - Capcom confirmed to Fanbyte that Monster Hunter Rise, the upcoming Switch hunting game, will be coming to PC in 2022. A ransomware leak last year first indicated that the game would be Switch exclusive for only a year, but the publisher confirmed it officially this week.

Vampire The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 Delayed Yet Again As Publisher Replaces Development Studio - The sequel to the cult-classic RPG has been delayed out of 2021 as publisher Paradox Interactive replaces developer Hardsuit Labs, of which they own a majority stake. As such, Paradox has decided to stop taking preorders until they know when the game will release.

Cyberpunk 2077 Developers Delay Patch After Hackers Hijack Their Servers - A much-anticipated update for Cyberpunk 2077 has been pushed to March, as CD Projekt Red says that a recent ransomware hack has prevented them from being able to ensure the quality of the patch. The game is still not available for sale on the PlayStation Network.

Anthem NEXT Has Been Canceled - The proposed reboot to Anthem, which developer BioWare has talked up since realizing the enormity of a misfire the original release was, has officially been killed. BioWare stated that they're looking to move those resources to upcoming Dragon Age and Mass Effect games instead.

Pokemon Presents Revisits the Series’ Past and Teases its Future - Two new Pokemon games were revealed in a Pokemon Presents showcase: a graphically-faithful remake of the fourth generation titled Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl and a 3D open-world adventure with the spirit of Breath of the Wild titled Pokemon Legends: Arceus. The remake hits this Fall, while Legends will come out in 2022.
