We also need a certain max item level requirement in brackets of PvP. It will heavily negate the boosters who stay stuck at around 1.4k one-shotting people.
this sounds nice

I don't like this, honestly. It means you either gear up in PvE or PvP, and not both. And really, this would only act as a band aid to try to make up for the problems with current PvE gearing, which is the actual problem.
how it should be pvp gear should be only useful for instanced pvp IMO. They should also make gear matter much less in pvp so its more on skill, less on gear and that everyone involved in pvp is on a much more equal footing gear wise so what truly differentiates players is just skill and not gear. Honestly in my dream system everyone in instanced pvp gear would get scaled to the same gear template, the actual gear you had wouldn't matter at in affecting the template so it was all about pvp skill and not gear at all and all pvp gear rewards would be cosmetic only. This way anyone could jump into pvp at any time and not be "behind" gear wise. I find it amusing so many pvper's also say its all about skill not gear but they fight for the system that insures they have better gear than anyone else and not the systems that would insure everyone is on the same gear level so everything was decided by skill.
I like this, it will make so that Honor gear isn't as bad as it is right now, as it doesn't compete with other source of gear
PLEASE YES!
Boosters are not a problem.Item level SCALING is a massive problem in SL.Going from 200 to 210 is nothing compared to 210 -> 220.200-210 doubles your dps, but going 210-220 easily doubles again. What if we crush item levels a little? Or just the general scaling of all abilities? If the design is trying to get the best of Vanilla, lets start here.I would try a system where a normal raid geared character (ilvl200) can do 100dps, has 5000hp, and a mythic/elite pvp geared character (ilvl226) can do 150dps and have 6000hp. Please look at the ratios, not the actual numbers. We don't need 20x dps/hp differences IN an expansion's lifecycle.Minmaxers are not affected, they will squeeze out every possible dps they can.Casuals could feel more "balanced", bc they don't get one shot.
YES PLZ YES PLZ YES PLZ .. ITS removed for a Pve player to be forced to play pvp at the highest level in order to get the bis gear so they can perform in HIGH M PLUS KEYS . i hope they fix it cause i cba changing covenants each week so i can play PVP when its not pushing week in order to farm my bis gear ( as tank)
can we do the same with m+ gear make it like ivl 200 but scales 226 only in dungeons?
very nice please yes, dont listen blizz to those nay sayers dont let them ruin our game
Finally, it took them ages to realize that this was one of the best PVP gearing systems.
Yes please.I'm tired of wanting to PvP and getting 2 shot by a f*cking boomkin. Or 3-4 shot by anything else.
Why nerf the best thing about Shadowlands gearing? Just buff PvE gear acquisition instead, don't nerf PvP gear just because people can't go higher than 1600, it's not fun for anybody, as pvp gear is already bis/required for pvp, you would only take away it being decent for PvE too
Well the thing is in Classic, you had to get pvp, pve, resistance gear and other gear so don't complain, if you really want to pvp Get PvP gear, if you want to do both get both sets, it's not really hard :)
Well i'm ready to just cancel my sub...pvp scaling was the worst time of pvp so w/e
This system would also help the alts to be more competitive which why this system would be good. Gear matter a lot currently even though it's not particulary hard to get Rival gear it's still quite of a grind to say the least and there is a lots of players who can't catch up with gear and then lose interest in the game getting owned by higher ilevel players but they also seem to forget if those players usually are as well better or more time invested into getting the gear. It is the gear issue but it's not the gear issue till 1800 (220) gear it's the reach limit that difference between the casuals (or noobs) and the average PvP gamer.
