It is really rare to be able to attack Highlord Tirion in Hearthglen, normally you are unable to. Only heard that equipping the Corrupted Ashbringer works....
But now in the prepatch, when we are all zombies, no NPC is truely safe!
I gathered an army of 40 players, leading to a total invasion number of about 120 zombies over the whole fight (thanks to respawns during the epic battle)
Ashbringer gives Tirion Fordring special abilities, a massive AOE blast that annihilates most undead, as well as Greater Turn Evil, well fit to battle a large invading force, he also got an impressive 1.8 Million HP.
Well then, did the Scourge prevail or is Hearthglen still "Holy" ground?
SPOILERS ----
After a long battle, with Tirion Fordring slaughtering masses upon masses of undead, Ashbringer failed him, Hearthglen was overrun and Scourge was victorious!
We were really close to wiping many times, his Ashbringer blast truly does a lot of damage. Thankfully it is not a complete one shot...
We had our raid group remove our gear, which made it so we died faster (to respawn as a ghoul). I was afraid that Tirion (being an important lore character) would stay at 2 HP and not be killable, thankfully that wasn't the case.
At the end, the saving grace was probably the Cult of the Damned healers, that were able to raise more zombies to keep on fighting. Otherwise the Scourge reinforcements would have ran out...
Thank you all for joining this amazing event, hopefully the expansion after Shadowlands will have a prepatch just as fun.
Oh and also, special thanks to Leaftheraphy / Lawkey / Capigo for resses, really improved the footage!
