HELLO my name is Kelli aka FABCRAB! I grew up in southern California and graduated with a BFA in animation from Laguna College of Art & Design. Soon after graduating I was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes and had a hard time adjusting to my new normal. In those difficult days World of Warcraft became my favorite escape.
Although most of my time went to PVP and raiding I shared little cartoons of my characters for fun, especially of my ret paladin Lobster. Over time I was inspired to draw more and more WoW characters, designs, and ideas. Today those ideas have grown into an ongoing decades-old collection of stories and minicomics! My best-known ones are probably the annual Children’s Week short comics about my paladin and priest and their adventures in potential parenthood. You can read the past 5 years on my Tapas!
My characters mean a lot to me, they’ve helped me through some very tough times! That’s why I love drawing other peoples’ characters too, cuz I understand how much unique experience and love goes into each one! OC commissions, especially WoW OCs, still make up the bulk of my creative output. Recently I've begun making my own version of paperdoll-like convention badges, which lets me have fun with colorful design and experiment with a little creative engineering. I finished a big batch of them for Blizzcon 2019 and I’m excited to make more!
I don’t play the live game as much anymore but I’m having a great time playing WoW Classic! In time I hope I can share brand new stories and art of my Classic characters with the community. ❤︎
