If all the skins and unlocks from the original Overwatch carry over, I'll be happy. Otherwise it would be an extreme feelsbadman moment

Wasn't Echo spoiler a rahter long while ago already? Also it would not make sense to make a new hero and announce it to Overwatch, if Overwatch 2 would be a complete new game, so I guess it will be more like an exp pack.
Realistically, "Overwatch 2" would be an expansion to Overwatch. Overwatch just launched on the Nintendo Switch and I doubt Blizzard would want to stifle any of their potential sales on the Switch. I think it will probably be a situation where they update the systems and rework things to freshen up the game for free under the original Overwatch game and then add a story mode and extra systems under a story mode expansion

Overwatch 2 will function as an expansion, just like the expansions of WoW. Ovrwatch just released on the Switch. They're not going to make OW2 a seperate game.
