Good. Horde needs huge ''nerfs'' and rollbacks to restore equilibrium. This is a small stepping stone.
Finally I won't see lot of horde in my team. It' really sucks to wait for long as an Alliance only because horde want a bit more honor.
Is it me or does it make the grind longer for player on the MOST populated side ?
Yes cause that is what players wanted. Is to take a lot longer to gain these essences on alts. Glad you're thinking of the player Blizzard.
They should also reduce amount of honor required for BG essences by 50% if that change goes live.50k is extreme grind for rank 3 essence even before this change... Should be 5k for rank 2, 15k for rank 3 and 50k for rank 4...
"This will make the grind for the Blood of the Enemy Essence about 50% longer for players on the less populated side."I understand what you're trying to say here but I think this sentence doesn't really add much info on whats going on. You can still use Mercenary to get the honor, it's just equalized now. Population has no barring on how quickly you'll get Blood of the Enemy. Which is the intention of the change. Not trying to be your high school English teacher, this sentence just hits the wrong way. Lol
Guess the game would self destruct if any patch would be launched without nerfing something that favored players, somehow, in a way or another... Obviously, a longer grind helps with..let's see...yes, with a certain metric. Because we have so many people still playing BfA, can afford to shove an extra grind down their throes after all.
Horrible change imo longer grind on alts and ques getting slightly longer aswell. Blizz does not seem to listen to feedback anymore or whats going on now?
This is a good change. The whole point of enlistment bonus is to encourage players to play Alliance. That incentive is completely irrelevant if Horde have access to it whenever they please. The population is massively skewed towards Horde in both PVP and PVE now because of years of small, but meaningful, advantages towards the faction. The only way to undo that is to have meaningful advantages to the lesser-played faction.
I guess we can say "fun detected" once again... Blizz needs to wake up before they completely destroy this game as well, and looking at the path they've taken in the recent years it's only a matter of time before it happens.
People really don't understand this article. xD
I see this as another indicator of a new faction. You won't need mercenaries when the larger faction gets split in half lol
And here I thought people WANTED grinds that are no timegated and can be worked on at whatever pace they wish to. It's shorter than many mindnumbing Classic grinds, but I'd eat my hat before seeing a news post here that'd not try to twist it possitively instead of craping on it.These changes level the playing field, as the less populated side was actually getting less than the people hopping over for not just shorter queues. The fact that there is still a masssive inbalance despite the fact it should be farmed with people mercing shows in a large scale this has minimal impact and the VAST majority never touched Merc mode for farming the essence. Also this ain't even the longest grind lol. If you can't knock this out before getting Lucid Dreams via just the natural dailies, Mechagon Exalted, clearing Op:Mechagon at least 4 times, Nazj Exalted, 5 weeks of Call to Arms just off the top of my head, then you are honestly just lazy. Most of those take a month to 5 weeks, come on people amd wowhead.
I would like to point out that this change was listed under epic battlegrounds, I'm pretty sure.
Another band-aid fix to try to entice people to actually swap to Alliance. War mode bonuses didn't work and neither will this. I really hope they've realized the hard faction barrier is outdated and start letting people play together regardless of faction.
Maybe I am missing the point here completely but I thought making it so Horde want to help Alliance was a benefit to Alliance as well?Aren't they usually stuck in queue because not enough people are queueing? The horde side have too many people queueing, I don't understand the logic on this one.
