Read the letter behind Griftah.

Go to Highmountain at 57.4 27.9 and read the second letter inside one of the tents in Prepfoot Compound.

Go to Karazhan (Old) and read the third letter on a chair in Medivh's Chambers.

Go to Razorfen Downs and read the fourth letter on a box behind Death Speaker Blackthorn.

Go to Mount Hyjal at 44.3 47.3 and read the fifth letter on the top floor of the Aviana's Shrine tree.

Go to Icecrown at 70.7 73.3 and read the sixth letter on the edge of the Ironwall Dam.

Go to Townlong Steppes at 37.7 63.0 and read the final letter on a bell at the back of Niuzao Temple.

Go to Borean Tundra at 27.6 27.1 and loot the Blue Crystal Monocle from the cache on the highest ring of Coldarra.

Green Crystal Monocle - Feather

Go to Skyreach and reach High Sage Viryx.

Activate the console behind her by clicking on the middle orb.

Click the side orbs in the following order: Right -> Up -> Down -> Up -> Right -> Right -> Up -> Left -> Down -> Up -> Left -> Down

Loot the Green Crystal Monocle from the chest that spawns on top of the console.

Yellow Crystal Monocle - Pyramid

Go to the Halls of Origination and reach the elevator.

At the elevator, go north and look on the right side to find a passageway going down.

At the room below the elevator, click the light orb in the middle to activate the puzzle.

Turn all constellations the same color by clicking the refractors.

Go to the Volatile Violetscale and exchange them for 100 Cavity-Free Great Shark Tooth.

Go to the Manta Stargazer and exchange the shark tooth for 50 Razoreel Larva.

Go to Lil' Whaley and exchange the larvae for 250 Well-Fed Doctor Fish.

Go to the Gloomy Bluefin and exchange the doctor fish for 10 Freshly Molted Crab Skin.

Go to Ol' Fishbreath and exchange the crab skin for 50 Glittergill Glitter.

Symbiotic Plankton

Buy 80 Seashell from Sir Finley Mrrgglton.

Go to the Gloomy Bluefin and buy 2 Giant Giant Toenail Clipping.

Go to the Little Carp and exchange the toenails for 4 Makrura Eye.

Go to the Volatile Violetscale and exchange the eyes for 1 Accidentally-Severed Seahorse Fin.

Go to the Crimson Anglerfish and exchange the fin for 2 Shiny Sea Serpent Scale.
You will be able to buy 3 Serpent Scales at this step, you can let the spare one decay.

Go to the Volatile Violetscale and exchange the slime for 3 Rock-Encrusted Whelk Shell.

Go to Little Carp and exchange the whelk shells for 5 Potent Gastropod Gloop.

Obtain 5 Captured Cavitation Bubble by completing the following item trades:
Buy 1500 Seashell from Sir Finley Mrrgglton;

Go to Li'l Whaley and buy 300 Very Pretty Coral;

Go to Ol' Fishbreath and exchange the coral for 100 Iridescent Shimmerray Skin;

Go to the Crimson Anglerfish and exchange the skins for 20 Luxurous Luxscale Scale;

Go to The Blackfish and exchange the scales for 5 Captured Cavitation Bubble.

Return to Sir Finley and exchange the 5 Scintillating Murloc Skin Lotion, 5 Potent Gastropod Gloop and 5 Captured Cavitation Bubble for the Red Crystal Monocle.

Suramar Beams

Form a full party - 4 members should have a different colored monocle each, the 5th does not need any monocles.

The person without any monocles will wait inside the second floor of the house in Suramar at 41.0 69.5, in front of the colored beams barrier.

The 4 other people will interact with special withered scattered around Suramar. Their eyes glow in specific colors and they turn aggressive when the respective monocle is equipped.

Instead of dying, these withered will instead cast Draw Power and heal back to full. Draw Power temporarily removes their respective barrier at the house.

The person waiting at the house runs in once all barriers are down and attempt to loot the Lost Cat Toy.

The damage taken by the person who attempted to loot the Lost Cat Toy is a code, used for Court of Stars.

Court of Stars

Still with a full party, head to Court of Stars (any difficulty).

Locate Lady Chaton in the house at 50 69, close to the second boss, Talixae Flamewreath.

Pet the kittens in the order Mrs. Fluffymuffins > Shadow > Mew > Ash > Bella with each digit within your code being the amount of times you pet the kitten which shares the number's order.
For example, if your code is "12345," You must pet Fluffy 1 time, Shadow 2 times, Mew 3 times, Ash 4 times, and Bella 5 times. If you have a 0, you don't need to pet the cat at all.

Platform Puzzle

Once you click the orb, you will be teleported to a room containing many platforms. Everyone in your party needs to get past the platforms.

Platforms spawn and disappear when people jump on them.

Use the following chart to help you get through:
Directions: F = forward, L = left, R = right, B = back

The number indicates which player, out of the five player team, should move in that direction.

After getting through the flying platforms, a door will open as your group approaches it.

You will get to a corridor with a pool of arcane lava and a light disc.

You need to cross the river using the floating disc.

Only one person is able to cross the river with everyone. Through trial and error (with groups of 2) try to find this person.

This person cannot travel the river alone and needs one other person in order to get through.

Arcane Lava Puzzle

Skull should be able to travel with 2 others, through trial and error find these two people and mark them with X and Star.

Skull brings X and Star across the river, and Star gets off at the endpoint.

Skull drops X at the start and takes Triangle to the endpoint.

Skull leaves Triangle at the endpoint and takes Star back for the journey.

Skull picks X up and the three cross the river, but Star is the one to get off.

Skull returns with X to the startpoint, and X drops off. Square hops on.

Skull takes Square across the river, and leaves Square there. Star hops on.

Skull and Star retrieve X at the startpoint and now the three of them return to the endpoint.

DISCLAIMERS:

A group is REQUIRED to obtain this mount. You CANNOT complete this secret solo.

You are NOT required to have all monocles, but it is STRONGLY ADVISED you obtain at least 1 monocle to continue onto the puzzle (Ideally, you do want to obtain all 4 monocles to make the steps after the monocles easier on you).

Note that once you have completed the steps to obtain a certain monocle, you will be able to buy that monocle directly from Griftah for should you accidentally lose or delete one of your monocles.

If you do not have any monocles, the only way to proceed is to join a group of four players that have all the monocles and are at the Suramar Beams step.

For all following steps until completion of the secret, it is required to keep the Talisman of True Treasure Tracking equipped.

Red Monocle - Vashj'irVashj'irTalisman of True Treasure Tracking

Kelp'thar Forest:
Ol' Fishbreath - Located at 60 59, this shark is close to the surface, around some plankton in Gnaws' Boneyard.

Shimmering Expanse

Sir Finley Mrrgglton - Located at 44 20, he's at surface level in one of the islets, atop a watchtower.

Manta Stargazer - Located at 53 22, he's near the surface, hovering around Shimmering Grotto.

Lil' Whaley - Located at 69 47, he's close to sea floor, next to the Ruins of Thelserai Temple.

Crimson Angerfish - Located at 53 88, he's close to the sea floor, swimming to the left of Biel'aran Ridge.

Abyssal Depths

Little Carp - Located at 45 17, he's near the sea floor, swimming around Deepfin Ridge.

Gloomy Bluefin - Located at 65 38, he's on the sea floor, swimming to the southwest of the Abyssal Breach.

Volatile Violetscale - Located at 38 77, he's swimming around near the sea floor of the Underlight Canyon.
IMPORTANT: If you cannot see this NPC, you can create a simple target macro: /target Volatile Violetscale. This will allow you to interact with the NPC.

The Blackfish - Located at 15 82, this lone orca is near the southwest corner of the Abandoned Reef.

Note: If you are sensitive to brightly-colored or rapidly changing lights, it may help to either lower your Particle Density settings, or skip retrieving this monocle entirely. Angular Stellar Refractor With a cross formation, it changes the color of the constellations north, south, east and west of the refractor.

The start of this puzzle is the Letter from Ms. Graham with a blue aura behind Griftah, which can be interacted with - be sure to do so! This letter has a cryptic message:

Lady Chaton

Mrs. Fluffymuffins > Shadow > Mew > Ash > BellaYou do NOT need to pet the cats in the above order, only use the order to determine how many pets each cat gets.

For example, if your code is "12345," You must pet Fluffy 1 time, Shadow 2 times, Mew 3 times, Ash 4 times, and Bella 5 times.

If you receive a 4-digit or less amount of damage, assume that there is a '0' padding the front of the number until it is 5 digits. So taking 1234 damage would mean your code is "01234."

If you have a 0, then you skip petting that cat in the sequence. For example, if you have a 0 at the start, like 01234, you do not pet Mrs. Fluffymuffins.

AT ONE TIME

So in the aforementioned case, Fluffy must have 1 stack of the petting buff, Shadow must have 2 stacks, Mew must have 3 stacks, Ash must have 4 stacks, and Bella must have 5 stacks all at once.

Petting them gives either cat a stack of Purring, which lasts for 15 seconds.

If you let the buff fall off, or attempt to pet them once the buff is at 10 stacks, they will pounce you, stunning you for a second with Manascratch. This debuff indicates that the cat hasn't been petted enough, or was petted too much.

Q: Do you have to complete past secrets like Waist of Time or Lucid Nightmare in order to get The Hivemind?
A: No. All steps and requirements for the mount are explained in this guide, and there are no prerequisites to start.

Q: Is this soloable?
A: No. The colored monocles can be done solo, but everything else from the Suramar Beams step and onwards requires a group of five.

Q: Do I have to get every monocle?
A: No. You can get as few or as many as you want, as long as your group has one of each on 4 different players.

Q: I'm channeling into the Hivemind in the last room, but we aren't getting the mount. Why?
A: This portion appears to be buggy - swap players into different circles in the room, ensure everyone has Talisman of True Treasure Tracking equipped, and channel at the same time. Keep trying new spots, and check your bags periodically to see if you've gotten the mount.

Q: Once I complete it, can I do it again for friends?
A: Yes. You can start again at the Suramar Beams step on the same character, or do the entire secret from beginning-to-end on alts. However, this will re-attune you to the group of people that you complete the secret with, meaning you will not be able to join Hiveminds with the previous group of players you did the ritual with unless you redo the attunement with them.

Q: I can't join the Hivemind of any players' other than those of the group that completed it with me, what gives?
A: Based on a series of tweets by Celestalon, this appears to be intended. You can only join up with players that were part of your most recent Hivemind ritual. (source tweet).

Q: What is the minimum level requirement to complete this secret?
A: Because the secret requires entering Court of Stars, you must be at least level 45 to receive your mount. However, it is recommended that you be level 50, as the Withered NPCs have a good bit of health you need to DPS through.

Q: Can this mount be obtained with members of the opposite faction?
A: Yes, you can do all the steps up until and including the Court of Stars scenario with members of the opposite faction. However, you will not be able to ride in the Hivemind mount with said members once you obtain it.

I did have a thought about this earlier. If I was designing a secret which holds this particular mount hostage. I would have one or more parts of it only solvable via grouping with other players. Having each one stand / use an ability in a certain place and a certain order. In order to obtain the next clue for example.

Such approach also makes for blizz harder to do new secrets.
And so far I'm not disappointed with this oneComment by NieghclawI can confirm that the beams directly coralate with the withered. They have to be taken down until they become immune and channel the heal AT THE SAME TIME. Meaning you have to have 4 people at each withered with the monocle of that withered and fight them until they cast.
