Seems stupid but ok
Well, that sucks. I pumped out my BS skill so I could do the +5 points before the event ended.I presumed it would work for the current expansion and then work its way back, or at least go from vanilla to current skill wise. That explains why I was not getting a cooking skill for doing the daily in the city hub.
This is complete garbage. Over a decade this has worked perfectly fine and now they break it, because they messed with the professions skill ups.
Since a level 20 can do these quests, it makes LESS sense for the quest to give BFA levels instead of vanilla ones.
Well, it works perfectly. For Archeology.Which is the profession that wasn't changed in the ill-considered revamp that made a mess.Note: Blizzard, please do NOT touch Archeology. I know it escaped the revamp because no one works on archeology at Blizz HQ... leave it as is.
RIP Injured Carnival Workers, we hardly knew ye. (From the removal of First Aid, they are now useless NPCs, lol)
Isn't it lovely that lately they are mostly busy with taking away things from us.
What would make sense (had a conversation with a GM when I opened a ticket about this very issue last month and we came to this conclusion between us) is for the skill points to go into the expac prof appropriate for your char level. When that's maxed out, dump the points in the next one down and so on and so forth. I mean, it's not rocket science is it? ;)
They should give skillups to latest expansion profession instead. Because who cares about Classic at this point?
Well, no more reason to go to the Darkmoon Fair every month, then.
Pretty lame, grinding out crafting professions in legion and BFA is brutally expensive. One idea would be for the DMF profession quests to reward crafting mats appropriate for the quest / profession. Also with the recent changes to professions it makes zero sense for the DMF quests to only reward skillups for vanilla professions. Nobody EVER is going to bother levelling up professions from the ground floor now, unless they are insane completionists who want every recipe / schematic, etc just for the sake of having it.
I'm with you on that, they did in WoD and some of us (myself included) got their relic book wiped clean. So for trying to aim for the tol'vir mount and two handed troll sword, I've had to start all over again and tbh, can''t be buggered :/
Pure BS just another bug turned "Feature"
