We get to see Jaina in Kul Tiras for Daughter of the Sea, as well as datamined text describing a nightmare she has on the ship.

Early Heart of Azeroth quests have been added.

Shaw: Recently, Horde agents broke into the Stockades and freed two Zandalari prisoners.
Shaw: A princess. And a prophet.
Anduin: I'm aware. What of the eight warships we sent in pursuit?
Shaw: Only one returned.
Shaw: Survivors say they encountered strange and terrifying magics.
Shaw: And a massive Zandalari fleet.
Genn: Impossible! It's one of Sylvanas' tricks. It has to be...
Shaw: Jaina, perhaps you could help us see what this survivor has seen?
Jaina: It's an easy enough spell, provided the subject is willing.
Jaina: Show us...show us what happened.

The Nation of Kul TirasKul Tiras is the greatest naval power in all of Azeroth and a former ally, but we've had little contact with them since Jaina's father, Lord Admiral Daelin Proudmoore, was defeated at Theramore. Many have criticized Jaina's decision that day. She believed so deeply in the promise of peace between the Alliance and Horde that she betrayed her own father. I suppose the time has come for her to atone for this. Loath as I am to put Jaina in harm's way... Kul Tiras must join the Alliance. Good luck.

Anduin: If the Horde makes allies of the Zandalari, we won't have the power to stop them.

Genn: Jaina, you're the reason they left the Alliance.
Jaina: I must prepare my ship. Champion, meet me in the harbor when you are ready to depart.

Jaina: My people command the most powerful navy in all of Azeroth.
Jaina: If I could bring Kul Tiras back into the Alliance...
Genn: Jaina, you're the reason they left the Alliance.
Jaina: And dealing with that is the only hope we have of bringing them back.
Anduin: I believe it is... and I believe you can.
Anduin: It will be difficult... and dangerous.
Jaina: I will return with the fleet... or not at all.
Anduin: Be careful, Jaina. Light be with you.

Daughter of the SeaThey're not letting us any closer to the keep. We'll have to walk from here. Returning to Boralus has stirred feelings I thought I'd left behind - memories smoothed away by the years like stones in the tide. It all feels raw again. I do not know how this will end - only that we must try.

"Beware, beware the Daughter of the Seas."
"Beware," I heard him cry.
His words carried upon the ocean breeze,
As he sank beneath the tide.
Those blood-soaked shores of Kalimdor,
Where sailors fought and died.
The admiral fell at Theramore,
because she left his side.
Why this? Why this oh Daughter of the Seas?
Why this? Did you forget your seaside days?
Always the pride of our nation's eyes,
How could she go astray?
When she did flee across the ocean deep,
the admiral followed west.

What else but sail to save a daughter's life,
and pray she still drew breath?

Out Like FlynnI was beginning to think I'd have to carry you out of here. We're in Tol Dagor. Used to be a legit prison 'til the Ashvane Trading Company bought it. Now it's full of thugs on both sides of the bars. Anyway, it seems you've got a secret admirer. They're paying me a king's bounty to break you outta here. Stick with me and we'll be back to Boralus in time for supper. You like chowder? I know a place with the best chowder. Name's Flynn, by the way.

Flynn: Alright, here's the plan:
Flynn: Hit me.
Flynn: Come on, hit me.

Taelia: Ashvane won't be happy about your little stunt. There are probably bounty hunters looking for you as we speak.
Taelia: You'll be safe in the market though. They wouldn't dare try anything here.
Flynn: Thanks for the lift, Tae. I'll see you at the tavern.

Taelia: What is going on in there? It sounds like you started a riot!
Flynn: No idea what you're talking about...But I think we finally have somme real dirt on Ashvane.
Flynn: A new gunpowder, like nothing I've ever seen.
Flynn: OH, and I rescued the target, of course. Crime-buddy, Taelia. Taelia, crime-buddy.
Taelia: Wait...I recognize you...
Taelia: You arrived with Jaina Proudmoore! You're the Alliance emissary!
Flynn: Alliance emissary?! Cyrus didn't mention that...I would have charged him double!
Taelia: You're lucky he's paying you at all. Now row!
Taelia: Here we are - Boralus Harbor. Aside from Proudmoore Keep, it's the most heavily guarded part of the city. And the only place most visitors ever get to see.
Taelia: Looks like the Alliance ship has already docked. Hopefully they got a warmer welcome than Jaina did...

Get Your BearingsAh, home at last. I think a proper introduction is in order! My name is Taelia, member of the Proudmoore Guard and squire of Sir Cyrus Crestfall. <Taelia salutes firmly.> Cyrus asked me and Flynn to break you out of that Ashvane prison and get you settled in here at the market, but he neglected to mention that you're with the Alliance. I must say, it's an honor. Let's get you up to speed.

You must be wondering why I'd help you after Katherine turned away the Alliance.

Let's just say things here in Kul Tiras are a little more complicated than they appear. I'll get you up to speed soon enough.

For now, let me show you around the marketplace.

Taelia: I take it this is your first visit to Kul Tiras? Don't worry, I'll make sure you're all settled in!
Taelia: This ferry connects to stations all along the interior coast of the sound.
Taelia: You'll need a ferry pass from the Harbormaster. That won't be a problem.
Taelia: The market hosts merchants from all over Azeroth. There are many taverns, but this one's my favorite!
Taelia: I spend a lot of time in here pestering travelers to tell me their stories. Especially folks from the Eastern Kingdoms!
Taelia: Ah, there's my girl. You must be restless, being cooped up here all day.
Taelia: Believe me, I know the feeling. We'll fly soon, alright?
Taelia: She's beautiful isn't she? Cyrus gave her to me when she was a hatchling.
Taelia: The counting house is under heavy guard day and night. Feel free to store your valuables here.

The Old KnightThese days Cyrus is the Harbormaster, but he used to be one of Daelin Proudmoore's most trusted knights! Until I came along. You see, my mother was from Lordaeron and my father was a Stormwind knight. When he lost my mother to the Scourge, my father sent me here. Then he... well, all I've been told is that he gave his life to defeat the Lich King. Daelin hand-picked Cyrus to raise me. He would have never taken a desk job otherwise. Anyway, he's probably checking in your other ship. Let's go!datamined broadcast text

Taelia: Wait...what on earth is happening?
Guard: But sir... Lady Ashvane ordered--
Cyrus: Lady Ashvane? Do you serve Lady Ashvane? Is that Lady Ashvanes crest upon your shield?
Guard: N-no, sir.
Cyrus: No! You serve Kul Tiras! You wear the crest of Proudmoore! And you take your orders from ME.
Cyrus: Now stand down and let them pass. We shall parley in my office.

Cyrus: King Greymane, it's an honor. You are free to remain in the harbor on my authority, and you may use my office as your war room.
Cyrus: Hmph...Humor an old knight for a moment, would you?
Cyrus: I was in a battle many years ago - must have been the Second War.
Cyrus: An orcish juggernaut struck our transport. Splinters from the gunnel ripped across the deck and tore into a friend of mine.
Cyrus: Should have been his ticket home, but he was ashamed to leave the war before we'd finished it. So, he patched himself up and told the healers he was fine.
Cyrus: Days later my friend died in his bunk, screaming and drenched in sweat. His wounds had closed, but infection had set in.
Cyrus: By the time he asked for help, it was too late.
Cyrus: Kul Tiras still bears the scars of the Third War. Nobody feels this as truly as Katherine Proudmoore.
Cyrus: But she is misguided. She has been kept blind to the infection that has spread throughout our kingdom.
Cyrus: Kul Tiras is falling apart. We need the Alliance as badly as you need us.
Genn: I see. Then we shall prove to Katherine Proudmoore the same truth that I learned at great cost.
Genn: In unity there is strength.

Sanctum of the Sages

I suppose it was too much to hope they had forgiven Jaina. Her uncertain fate is troubling, but we must remain focused on the mission. We must bring Kul Tiras into the Alliance. If Katherine Proudmoore is unwilling to hear us out, these sympathizers are our best hope. Our first priority is to establish a portal to Stormwind. Would you be so kind as to fetch one of the 7th Legion mages from outside?

Genn: Do you feel that? Some sort of...tremor...
Magni: Genn Greymane! I must have words with the champion.
Taelia: A...diamond dwarf?
Cyrus: Sorcery!
Flynn: Well, this is new.
Genn: At ease, all. This is Magni Bronzebeard--once king of Ironforge, now Speaker for Azeroth.
Genn: Kul Tiras faces grave peril, Magni. But I assume you have come for...other reasons.
Magni: I got somethin' <name> needs tae see. A gift that can aid this land as well.

I know the people of Kul Tiras need yer aid, <name>. But there's more at stake than the fate o' a single kingdom. Azeroth needs yer help. And in turn, she offers tae lend ye hers. She bid me tae bring ye to a titan chamber at the heart of the world. Ye can hear her voice there.The Speaker's ImperativeNow that ye hold the Heart of Azeroth, ye can absorb the power of azerite from many sources. In fact, I believe yer friend Taelia is holdin' one. The teleporter pad behind ye will return ye tae Kul Tiras. That nation's people face a great darkness. I know ye'll aid the fine folks ye meet there. But always remember... ye wear the heart of our world around yer neck. Whatever happens in the battle tae come... we must save Azeroth.

If only she hadn't sided with the evil evil Horde who misled her! It's not that Garrosh and the mana bomb were a horrible turn of events which Jaina inadvertantly provoked as well, showing the horrors of war and how Jaina needed to let go of her newfound hate and realise the Horde at large wasnt responsible.

Nono. The Horde was evil all along and will always be evil. Jaina now finally realises daddy was right and she was wrong and now she stands firmly with the Alliance because now that she has realised the truth, she is right and everyone else is wrong.
Nevermind that she abandoned the fight against the Legion due to selfish and petty anger, no that will never be brought up. Jaina is a saint and the Horde are garbage. Sylvanas is helpfully demonstrating that for us!

I definitely liked the previous version better; it had a lot more drama and interest showing how the tension between Anduin and some of the Alliance leadership that we saw in Legion is continuing. And of course making the contrast with the Horde leaders more nuanced. It matters how you are slowly divulging elements of the story. Right now we are led to believe that Sylvanas is profoundly evil and dumb, which is fundamentally different from the image that was pushed forward in the previous Xpacs.

They are not "Serving us Garrosh 2.0" I swear to got a burst a blood vessel everytime somebody says that unironically. Give me one example of Sylvanas looking dumb. Stop with this headcanon, everybody is getting way ahead of themselves and at the sight of one misgiving they jump, no they ^&*!ing leap with all their %^&*ing might to a wild conclusion about the ending of the expansion. When Legion started did you think we'd end up fighting the world soul of Argus?

Firstly, Sylvanas is evil, she is supposed to be. As an undead she feels no emotions, so what she does can be evil and she simply doesn't care because to her there is no such thing as evil.
So when Sylvanas does something bad, you can go ahead and #$%^ off if you think it means they're setting her up as a villain because they aren't.
Christie golden is writing the story now, which means we're going to see more character development and less "big bad guy appears and we must band together to defeat it" bull%^&*.
Jaina is not going to turn evil and kill everyone on the planet and we're not going to harm Sylvanas.

In previous expansions she was pushed as being immoral and borderline evil, this is not different. Why should it upset you that she is doing bad stuff? Any actualy fan of Sylvanas' character knows that she isn't some good guy hero that saves the day, with perfect morals and a clean conscience. She is cold, calculating and somewhat sadistic, she will do whatever it takes to secure victory and she is perfectly logical. This is her character, this is why people like her. This is why is makes no sense to be upset over her actions, because it suggests both that you like her and don't want her to be portrayed as a villain, but at the same time it shows you know jack @#$% about her character and couldn't possibly care enough about her to not want her to do these things.Comment by MightylorddkGive me one example of Sylvanas looking dumb.
