How about hero gear? 286 ilvl with champion helm makes me want to die

As a solo player, unless I get something extra for doing them I'm not going to go out of my way to get a slightly higher ilvl from the jump through the vault. I'll just spend the extra 40g and do something more fun.
With M+ being so easy that anyone could do a +10 since day 1 of release, I don't understand why so many people go out of their way to farm content like this for Hero stuff. 500 Field Accolades for a random Hero piece is a joke too. Is the social pressure too much to join a group of people you're never going to see again?
Ritual sites are fine, but (the first four) 11 delve give 25 hero crests and 5 myth crests each, and you can complete any single delve faster than a T5 ritual site (admittingly, plus the time to farm the keys). That alone caps you on heroic crests and allows you to craft a mythic item every 4 weeks.So the only advantage is the higher itemlevel from the vault (which also is mitigated by fully upgrading champion gear, and once you have hero of the dawn it no longer really matters). They could be very effective if they finally uncapped the crests (or once the patch hits and the next level ritual sites drop myth crests), but until then it still is more efficient to complete your four delves.
Most delves are way more efficient if you're not a drooler pulling 1 pack at a time

Who cares what the fastest way is when you're still capped at the end of the week? You can't 'farm' these Crests, you hit a brick wall after your first day of seriously playing and you're done. Why make it even more tedious by pushing yourself through this so-called content that is Ritual Sites...
That's my main issue with ritual sites, there's no variety, even the named mobs that spawn once you have high enough rep are the exact same mobs in the same places, Delves can get a bit dreary if you farm them too intensively (What content doesn't?), but they have 3 variants each with different routes and objectives, and the bountiful system forces picking different Delves, ritual sites are two locations, and just the same damn thing every single time.
who needs an efficient farm for something you can cap without trying on reset day.
