Wow... what a tip (...)Dont wanna watch it while doing AoE. Still looking for the reason to use this mawrat item, that transforms you into one. Dont get anything useful from it except being faster... :D
Interesting for sure. Though Eye of Skoldus seems quite inconsistent. Im pretty damn sure that Ive several times had them spawn nearly instantly after dropping combat.
Maybe Blizzard should just change these mechanics. Making runs last 1.5~2 hours and then make it impossible to go afk for 2 minutes in case of emergency or even to just grab a coffee because 1 floor is taking 30 minutes. Not to mention that they love the spawn a split second before my 2s cast is finished and I end up having an elite, or pack of mobs with these mobs...
This is one of the Torment that's the most frustrating, especially when the debuff stack increase and the mobs are so hard to kill. I had a run where the mob appeared just as we were pulling the floor portal boss and it's.. uhg... And I also had a time where just as we killed the mob, another one appeared, leaving us barely no time to regen. Not that fun when regular mobs are already challenging enough on the first levels. The mawrat tactic works well if we don't take any anima power that interact with killing them to get explosions or some kind of buff.I wouldn't be sad to see this Tormend gone.
It’s pretty wild, I’ve had them spawn on me in combat, had it happen last night in a layer 5. basically have to blow all your CD’s to survive it, who tf thought it would be a good idea to random spawn a mob with 100K health that shreds?
As a hunter I just trap the first shadestalker that appears and let him follow me around for a while until I get to an elite pack and need to kill him so I can trap one of the elites. I don't like having to rely on a maw rat as they always end up getting killed, and for some reason if i trap just a rat I drop combat.
They need to disable the torment if you're /afk. seems like a simple fix that would allow people to pee.
Hmm I just finished Layer 8, and never even realised those extra Torment adds were really that much of an issue that I'd want to avoid them. I just killed them whenever they spawned, didn't use any cooldowns (I was saving them for the elites which gain a stacking damage buff if you take too long). I eat food to heal up (saving my self heal for emergencies) so I guess I prefer being out of combat between pulls.
Or they could just remove Seekers and Shadestalkers. They are not fun, nor interesting. It's just to grief people who might go AFK because IRL stuff.
"I need you to get aaaaaall the way off my back with that Torghast thing!"
I really wish they would change the way this was implemented so that I can afk during Torghast. Completely changes the feel of the run :( Really like when the debuff is just a flat dmg bonus, etc. so I can just getup and let the dog out - have a chill run.
I think they implemented this thinking it would be something you would have to remember you need to deal with (dont spend too many CDs on current fight). They could fix the AFK problem by guaranteeing it spawns within 10 seconds of leaving combat. Then u just wait 10 - kill it and go afk. There will still be times you forget you have one "hunting" you and die as they intend.
Been trying to do that, but as a prot pal, AoE is my jam, so there's that. The auto-spawning mobs adds a lot of stress to the run, which is already like an hour long at layer 8 just to see if you RNG at the last vendor (if you don't get smoke bombs, its a busted run, just wasted your hour)
Though I am sure many had figured this out a long time ago.Best ways I found are: paralyze with monk and Demon Hunter trap, leave the damn Rats behind and climb safely without assassins. I'm also sure people know about this too.
"Mawsworn Seekers can't use ropes"True, but I tried this and they just teleport and lag for a couple of seconds and continue their GTA police chase until they die
Whats really annoying is the stacking health pool on the stalkers, takes bloody forever to get em down. Just a stupid mechanic imo.
I had this same idea with the mawrat on my own the other day; but, I'm sorry to say I'm losing interest in this expansion more and more. Torghast was fun the first few times but I'm kinda over it. It's way too long to complete without accidentally going afk or having to log out. What if someone has a family emergency or needs to go to the bathroom? I know there are the spots at the beginning of each floor but really.. it's still like 1-2 hours (priest..) and for what? The expansion is clearly unfinished, and Torghast isn't any more finished than the rest of it.
