Looks more like sparks. I mean I know it is called Stinging Sands, but I think they could have made it..... less sparky....? I thought it was gonna be similar to a sandstorm in WoW, just with a bit more particles. If they just had the sand effect that they have closer to the weapon and add more particles, it would have been nice.
That’s just obnoxious!
I certainly hope it changes. That’s not a great illusion for what it’s called. Maybe illusion of sparks but not sand.
Not sure why they didn't just recolor the wintergrasp one it would look more like stinging sands.
looks garbo
Seriously doubt that's what it will look like in game. If so, that's just embarrassing.
That just looks annoying.
Seems clearly unfinished/poorly implemented, like it's not even been placed on the weapon geometry yet. That aside, it looks like it has the potential to live up to its namesake - swirling sands around a weapon, which itself glows a light brown.Coolio.
Man, that looks awful. Way too busy to use it for more than a day or two upon getting it.
Wow, of all the recruit a friend options that I think are predatory behavior and represent some really trashy economics by Blizzard. I am honestly happy to say I would NEVER put that on a weapon. It would give me a headache within about 5minutes of using it.
That's got to be the absolute worst Recruit-A-Friend reward I've ever seen. Can't imagine that being final in the slightest.
2/10
It's really unfair of Blizzard to give players something they blocking other players from getting (Some European countries not allowed to participate). At least let other players get it by other means, like buying it in Blizzard store or black auction house, even for a hefty price.By the way, It's even "security wise" not so wise ;)Currently when we see a player with these gifts, we can immediately assume he's from a country where It's allowed. It's not so big a hint for itself, but combining with other hints it sometimes can help an attacker compromise the player account. But really, for a completionists to get all the stuff in the game, one need to move to other country as well? not fair.

more like firework
This could use either fewer particles or make it less random, because like someone else said, it does look more like sparks.
"Stinging sands" is accurate because after looking at this, my eyes hurt.
Oh god, that is horrible. Turn it off.... TURN IT OFF...
