Obtaining the Scarlet KeyThe Scarlet KeyLoot-Filled Pumpkin

You do NOT need to complete the introduction questline for the Scarlet Key to drop.

UNCONFIRMED: Enabling Hard Mode on the Headless Horseman encounter increases the chance of the Scarlet Key to drop.

You can attempt to loot the Scarlet Key as many times as you have alts eligible for the Loot-Filled Pumpkin - It does not only drop on the first attempt of the day.

If you have unlocked Scarlet Monastery of Old already, you can help friends unlock it even after Hallow's End is over - The new The Scarlet Key also drops from the chest behind Arcanist Doan in the old version of Scarlet Monastery Library, just like the Classic version! This can be done ONE TIME per account.

The Scarlet Key is not bound to anything, so in the worst-case scenario, you can buy it from the Auction House.

Since the revamp chopped and combined them (which I thought was awful) they more than likely started with two new maps rather than modify the originals. Then you just set the instance portal to the new instance map ID and there you go. They've done that before.

So when you activate the keyring and the new (old) portals appear, they simply go to the original map IDs. Like entering an ancient sealed crypt.Comment by banshihOh, I love this.
