The 9.2 PTR is live. I'm testing everything I can live on Twitch and updating this post as I go.

Legendaries

Vestige of the Eternal - New legendary crafters mark. Only adds 3 ranks to a legendary (rank 7 would be the new cap).

No new slots for Legendary Optional Reagents - You must choose between Vestige of Origins (+2 Ranks from 9.1) or Vestige of the Eternal (+3 ranks from 9.2). You cannot combine both Vestiges. This is why Rank 7 is the new cap.

Progenitor Essentia - Stacks up to 10 only - New Material - New version of Korthite Crystals, tradeable on the AH. Only 2 needed at the moment to craft the Vestige of the Eternal.

Add Progenitor Enhancement - None of these seem to stack, so no use having more than one of each enhancement

Seems like they are following the 8.2 template with Zin'anthid and Osmenite Ore. These were priced quite high initially because of so many crafts being bottlenecked by them. Also, gathering them was extremely competitive since most nodes were forced into small sections of Nazjatar. This led to a sharp increase in multiboxing, which further set the stage for the ToS change for multiboxing.

Now, with the absence of mass multiboxing via input broadcasting, I would expect some seriously high prices on those materials for awhile. Gatherers should enjoy those prices. Crafters will pass the cost on to consumers and maybe take a slightly better cut percentage-wise than if the base cost was lower. Yes, as expected.
But at this point I wish for higher stacks, a second crafting materials tab in the bank or even better a crafting bank with practically unlimited storage space for all your chars of a faction on a realm.Comment by JonioCould we please have use for Eternal Crystal? They didn't approach it in 9.0 or 9.1 so it's not really surprising that they continue it in 9.2.

TBH, I never found Archaeology that interesting in WoW, it's always going to a digsite and finishing a random project, most of them useless. Aside from a few toys and mount( recipe)s not much to strive for. Objects from dozens of factions cluttering your bag and bank spaceComment by MrTrideIt still has some uses, even as it's the only source of the still highly sought out Vial of the Sands and some other items, that can be sold. Other than that, it's not much but it isn't either like First Aid, that they ended removing from the window but embedding their stuff in Alchemy and Tailoring I guess. What they could put in it's place is Engineering, too many useful tools in there to keep it as a 'Primary'.
