This isn't obvious? When did you ever carry professions progress to another expansion?
To everyone asking if it needed to be said, apparently it does. Just look at the comments on the new herbalism post. There's people there genuinely believing they'd keep the knowledge, lol.Anyway, I don't mind the new profession system, but I think it's stupid just how much gold you have to spend to do literally anything of significance to make gold. Yeah, sure it feels good to get better at something the more do it but it's ridiculous. I think I got an enchanted 75% of the way there in season 1 and spent a ridiculous amount. By the time I got anywhere with significance prices went down and I couldn't make any money back. So instead I stuck with mining and herbing. Oh boy, what a mistake. You can spend an hour farming and make 100g because the prices are so ridiculously *!@# compared to how much money you're *expected* to have for everything else. The economy is $%^&ed for anything gathering wise- presumably to bots.I've made more money farming satchels for the maps than herbs or mining. I'm not expecting loads, as it's just gathering but nothing is worth while after the first week of the expansion lmao. Hell I've made more money running old raids and selling that to the vendor. What's the actual point. 1 herb sells for 1g, sometimes not even that. Plus you have 3 quality worth of it all in your bags, it's a cluster!@#$.I've been tempted to level up a prof on a character this late, I even have new friend joining the game but there is absolutely no point because you have to do a stupid grind to do anything that takes forever then and an even bigger grind to even be able to make items max rank which is only what people want. It's an absurdly *!@# system. Let me just farm knowledge on day one without a time gate and just create professions. Not everything needs a tree, not everything needs to be some overconvoluted system.I also hate having to advertise in chat for anything that needs crafting when advertising for anything is against literally everything in retail. Communication works in classic, it's the design. These days you don't ask in chat for a dungeon, why am I asking in chat for an item? Just make it a public order idc
Still waiting what TOMRUS has to say.
I won'tThese systems are bloated garbage.
Dragonflight killed professions. Time to revert back to pre-dragonflight professions, instead of this overcomplicated garbage where you fill your bank with 3 different types of the same item.
Weekly profession point grinding was the absolute worst. I really hope they track weekly caps and provide a catch up mechanic this time around.
I mean obviously, was anyone actually that delusional?
Is it weird I miss the old crafting system? It's so god-damn confusing. Before you level them up got the materials and craft, the thing that is it.I ended up completely ignoring my own professions in DF because I could not figure it out for the life of me.Work orders are nice, but the whole different quality's thing is such a pain as well as the random elements of crafting things having to gamble and re craft your things to get it to max ilvl so much faff for something that is only relevant for maybe a month or two of the release of the season.
I hope they'll give us some gold or something for the knowledge I've accumulated lol
As long as they keep break into different tables. Like spec knowledge for DF and spec knowledge for TWW then that's fine. If they don't do that then its a problem.
It's like this with every expansion. Who didn't already know this? :/
In other news: grass is green and the sky is blue
This post isn't entirely clear. It's pretty obvious that DF knowledge/specializations would not apply to TWW. However, what's not clear from this post is whether there is a separate journal for DF specs, or whether everything gets wiped clean and reset to 0.In my view, the current DF trees/specs/knowledge should be in its own book, and only applicable to DF items and crafts. TWW should then have its own equivalent book.If instead we're talking about all talents/specs being reset to 0 totally, then that's crazily absurd given how much time and effort is spent building those points.
