I do wish they moved their head a bit slower, or only had a chance to care. At the moment they seem a bit surprised to see you, like you're startling them.
Hope it doesn't looks as eerie as it does on that big-ass tauren on smaller races.
Good ol' Blizz. Incrementally implementing immersive things over 10-years. Well, aside from that joke, it's a small but very nice touch.
Noticed them going for more immersion when the NPCs in Dalaran would move out of your way instead of walking on top of you. A welcome addition! :)
Wowhead never said that they just noticed it. In fact, it even stated that such a feature was possible back in WoD expansion.
i have nothing bad to say about this
I liked this feature in the garrison, so seeing it return will be nice. I just hope it doesn't work when you're in stealth. Imagine, you're sneaking past an enemy, and they just snap their head to the side and stare at you with their dead virtual eyes. That NPC didn't actually notice you, but you probably would have gotten hands as sweaty as an ogre's loincloth at that moment."Must have been the wind."
Its a very nice immersive feature. I just wonder what it will look like when a lot of player pass by a npc frequently. Will the npc just move his head right and left non-stop?
This, plus Torghast will lead to this. All mobs will turn their heads at you and then point and scream like the guy from Invasion Of The Body Snatchers.
At first I genuinely thought the player was a Tauren DK. I was laughing thinking the NPC was a tiny Vulpera that saw them and was like "nope, walking away from this big fella".
I feel so noticed
does it work when you are invisible? if so it is flawed
This is so cute! It's the little things in life
I would like to see different dialogue or greetings that change with your rep level of the faction but this is a nice addition.
WOW has THE BEST character animation in entire game industry!
Damn thats creepy!
I am sure blizz thought of this, but i wonder what happens when there is a whole bunch of players near said NPC's. It would be hilarious to see their heads swivelling around crazily in response to many players moving around near them. But my guess is the animation only plays on the client side, not the server side. So players only see the NPC interacting with them, and no one else
It's like in Skyrim....
That feeling of being watched 😳😅
