Just because people are still farming super rare items on the Timeless Isle, it doesn't mean that the Timeless Isle is a popular/well liked place.
I'm still hoping if SoO does come back it's not a full TW raid, but a boss rush mode.But this article doesn't reference all the Timerunning gear or special gems. I'm really curious what's up with those. I almost feel like Timerunning might be a form of seasonal-in-retail content, where we make a new character and speed run through the Pandaria main story to level up, either for some reward or just as a way to quickly level a new alt. There's a gem that lowers your movement speed - I can't imagine many applications for that..
About 6 months ago Blizzard said they would be bringing back the heirlooms from SoO and I imagine this is the vehicle to do so.
"Timerunning" could also refer to the Bronze Dragons, and more Nozdormu story, after we prevented that he became Murozond in the 10.1 megadungeon.Yet it is still unclear what the purpose of the Bronze dragons is, as the previous Nozdormo story was not closely linked to what happened with Razageth, Sarkareth and Fyrakk.
I hope Timerunning is just the Timewalking equivalent of Mythic+. Timewalking is just heroic dungeons scaled down for non-heroic players, and we have Timewalking raids, so adding Timewalking M+ to those dungeons would be an ice change of pace from the same dungeons over and over for the season.If it's something to do with Timewalking raids, that's fine too as long as it's just a fun thing to do for a week. I have only done one Timewalking raid (Black Temple, back when it was first added), and I haven't bothered since. Maybe this would give me incentive to actually bother doing that content.
I think a fair compromise is making a recolor of the Legion order hall version of the sets for this event.Or just make new rewards, not everything needs to be give to you to soothe your FOMO-related angst. You’ll get the set and mog out of it in a week after being bored with it, whilst devaluing the little prestige left in the game for veterans who played 12 years ago.
Everybody thinks time running will be the return of challenge modes but I think it'll just be those quests from Thaldraszus where you run through different points in history but very quickly.
It's clearly the challenge modes of MoP dungeons. This speculation is WAY overthinking.
So are they going to take the sword out of Silithus or are we pretending that never happened?

Maybe it has something to do with the Mogu or the titan artificats Lei Shen found? As there is an achievement called The Dark Heart of the Mogu.
