Old Gods.. please keep more of that good stuff coming..
Resurrecting Y'shaarj would be an amazing idea for new Old God stuff. We've only really ever fought lingering traces of him. Actually seeing him as a boss would be intense.
As for who the "he" is that we will follow underground, I guess that'll be Iridikron
havnt tested it on my Nzoth toon but has anybody taken their eye of nzoth into the scenario while leveling?
I love N'zoth. I love his voice and his attitude. I was really sad to see him go at the end of BFA. I'll be honest, hearing the single line "I... know you" has actually been one of my favorite moments in the whole expansion so far, even though it has almost nothing to do with dragons or the expansion itself. It was a true "WTF" moment. It opened so many more possibilities for N'zoth, or Old Gods in general.
Every defeat, every death, every visions are a path to their victory. You can kill the dream, but not the fate.
OGs are BiSDeathdeathwing when?
Ngl the Ny'alotha section was really cool. Seeing all the elemental lords wrecking !@#$ with the whispers playing in your head. Awesome. And as an aside, I'd like to point out that 4th dimensional beings, which one could argue some lovecraftian beings are, would be able to see time in its entirety much like how we as 3d beings can see all of a flat 2d plane if we're high enough above it. That could explain N'zoth's seeming knowledge of events far in the future.
This is good stuff :DSome right proper WoW stories.
There's a ton of Ilgynoth whispers that really seem to indicate Dragonflight.Ilgy whisper: Five lanterns now darkened. The flames they seek will light the Masters' way.Five aspects, who lost their powers, trying to regain them. (The Master I believe to be Y'shaarj)Ilgy whisper: The vassal of life disguises treachery. Beware the eyes of green. This might be a bit of a stretch, but Alexstraza is the lifebinder and queen of dragons, The other dragons are her vassals then...and I feel I could see Merithra being corrupted. She's seemed very plagued by doubt in the past, and there has been that void flower growing near where she was in BfA for a long time....I feel it would tie a lot together. Xavius works to get Ysera out of the way so a younger, more susceptable dragon takes the helm of the Green flight. Not only that, Merithra, as Ysera's daughter, might be a bit of a blind spot for Alexstraza, with how close Ysera was.If Merithra is an agent for the old gods, that puts her in a lot of power. Maybe she can spread her corruption to the other aspects or find a way similar to the dragon soul to steal their powers for purposes like resurrecting Y'shaarj. Maybe she wants the seed initially planted in the Emerald Dream so it can absorb corruption from the Emerald Nightmare before being moved to Azeroth. I definitely feel we'll be seeing Y'shaarj again somehow...and I definitely feel it could be tied to the return of the power of the aspects, especially considering the powers of the Alexstraza the Life Binder and Nozdormu's powers of time.
If you fly off the western edge of the Ohn'ahran Plains, to the area that is speculated to be both the planting location of the next World Tree and the entry point to a potential underground zone in a future patch, there is a little wreckage of a boat just off the South Eastern edge of the South Western most island (when you look at the Dragon Isles map, the co-ordinates are roughly 20, 64. Right next to the suspiciously small "deep" section of sea on the map), in this wreckage are piles of gold, three tentacles and a large N'zoth-ish eyeball. I've only used the puzzle-box there twice and nothing new happened. Haven't tried drowning there yet.
Should we like change the past after our interaction in that ancient war?Immortal Old Gods have seen some strange mortals with some flying lizards killing theirs soldiers and then jump into some portal...Also they read our minds. They should have seen the future from us.
Nzoth is coming back, let's goooooooo!
I've always wanted to see Y'Shaarj himself in WoW. Sure, we got his Hearthstone artwork, and the Sha, but we've never actually directly seen Y'Shaarj, or at least seen some flashback of what he looked like. He was always the most mysterious Old God, to me, and personally, I think he deserves an actual on-screen appearence. He was the most powerful of the Old Gods after all.
See its stuff like this that I like about WoW's lore the most, just these cryptic mysterious passages we get sprinkled on. I always knew that N'zoth wasn't gone and this just solidifies it more for me.
I don't think it implies we have more dealings with n'zoth at all. We went back in time to the very first black empire before the titans came. He was more than likely referring to the events in BFA.
Or y’know he’s lying to us. As N’Zoth does.
