Charred Glyph: Conjures a familiar stone, containing either an Arcane Familiar, Fiery Familiar, or Icy Familiar. (This lets you conjure an item that lasts until you log out or summon other familiar, after changing specs. It does not show up as a permanent vanity pet.)

Flamestrike: (Class ability, Level 44, 40 yd range, 2 sec cast, 12 sec cooldown) Calls down a pillar of fire, burning all enemies within the area for 1 Fire damage and an additional 4 Fire damage over 8 sec.

, level 75 talent: Places a Frost Bomb on the target. After 5 sec, the bomb explodes, dealing 2791 Frost damage to the primary target, and 1396 Frost damage to all other targets within 10 yds. New Level 87 class ability: Alter Time: Alter the fabric of time, causing the caster to return to their current location, health, mana, buffs, and debuffs, when cast a second time, or after 6 sec.

New form of Mana regen: : Your spell haste also increases your mana regeneration, and the amount of mana gained from Mage spells.

Many mage talents that were previously acessible to one specialization are available to all, such as , Cauterize, Shatter.

New passive skill: . Reduces the casting time lost from taking damaging attacks by 70%.

Arcane Changes:

Mastery: Ignite is the new mastery.

Hot Streak has been combined into Pyroblast.

Living Bomb is now a level 75 talent and does not have special synergy with Fire spells, as in Cataclysm.

Blast Wave and Molten Fury are removed.

Frost Changes

Shatter no longer increases the damage of Frostbolt. However, now places a stacking debuff on the target, letting it take 8% more damage each application from Frostbolt.

Fingers of Frost is triggered by the following spells: Frostbolt, Flurry, Frozen Orb, Scorch. It is only consumed by Ice Lance and .
