RIP An voice actor that had been a part of my life for a long time. You will be missed.
RIP.I never knew that the voice actor of the starting zone introductions was the psychologist from The Terminator! :O
Huge fan of Earl’s work in WoW and as LeChuck in Monkey Island.RIP to a legend
I loved his voice. I am going to miss the introductions, narrations, and will smile every time I head into kill Magtheridon and listen to him telling me to: "Choke on my blood!" Such an amazing voice. Thank you Earl.
R.I.P. Good VAs are invaluable but oft overlooked.
His voice was behind my very first moments in WoW. They still give me goosebumps watching those intros to this day. He made WoW what it was for me in the beginning.Rest in peace, Earl, and thank you for your important part in my love of World of Warcraft.
The king is dead. Long live the king!
The man sure got his work in.
RIP
No King rules forever. RIP my man.
Sad to hear, Magtheridon's voice acting was some of my favorite alongside OG Kargath from TBC and his narration of the opening cinematics for races is iconic, the undead one in particular engrained in my head from hearing it so often. It'll be a sad day when Blizzard inevitably retire the current ones for consistency when new ones need to be recorded for new races / relevancy.
Damn, this one hurts... I loved him as LeChuck back when, and it was always great to hear his voice in other video games, especially in WoW as King Terenas.Rest in peace, Earl.
He will always be LeChuck to me. Such an amazing voice. R.I.P. Earl.
I remember back when Tony Jay died, he was lamented as the original WoW narrator, even by some fan news sites.I ended up going through the vanilla voice credits and listening to samples of each VA until I found Earl Boen. It was so clearly him.Boen's was the first voice of Azeroth many of us ever heard. Rest in peace, sir.
''- good morning dr silberman how's the knee'' - Sarah Connor(One of the best movies in the world. A phrase that stuck in my mind since I was a child.Thank you for your art and talent.)RIP
Oh wow. Had no idea Dr. Silberman's actor was in WoW, much kudos! Also he will be missed. RIP
I've made so many characters over the years, and even if he didn't do all them, I didn't realize how much I listened to him. RIP King.
