… With no abilities, so we’ll rarely see her. It’s like a cool new mount that doesn’t increase speed…
IS it a battle pet? Or just a companion pet?
"and now you can own one as a Battle Pet!"how tf you gunna battle with a pet that can't go into battles.... LOL
Woo, a cosmetic pet that can't battle and has no abilities, so exciting... Blizzard managed to take what was a fun side activity for many and turn it into an uninspired, boring pointless click-to-collect exercise that's on par with mining or herbing, just less valuable. Getting one of these "pets" as a quest reward has about as much meaning to me as getting Voidlight Marl.Whoever decided to kill Pet Battles in favour of this crap needs to stop focusing on their spreadsheets and start realizing what players actually enjoyed about the whole pet battle thing, cuz this isn't it.
I know everyone is @#$%^ing but I think it's cute
I miss the old design of pets , rigid , dark , fitting the game theme...these days they look like plush toys made for babies...
Why are it’s eyes bugging out like that… 😟
I bet 90% of the people who complain it's not a battle pet never did pet battles anyway. And as I've mentioned many times all pets, cosmetic or otherwise, are useful as part of your transmog. Get the BartrubySummonPet addon and it will auto resummon your desired pet and keep it out and with you 100% of the time. You can even choose a different pet for different characters.
potatoads are so silly. love all the vegetable animals blizz added-- saptors and chloro...
ugly fish
This is not a battle pet. It quite literally says that in the tooltip--it's a 'companion.'I know that asking for quality from Wowhead is a lost cause at this point, but honestly, can we at least report accurately?
Collecting battle pets and figuring how to use abilities is the part I liked.Pet battle world quests is part of game I like to do.Collecting companion pets that I will not see anywhere but in pet list - no not interested. No pet trainers or pet world quests in Midnight expac..no not pleasing. One of the things most appealing about WoW is the diversity of play. You start limiting that and you limit the time online here
Don't care about the death of an unloved (by Blizzard) system, but I love the potatoads and potadpoles. I just wish potadpoles could also be hunter pets so I can run around with more than one at a time. Also, Mud Potadpole > Percival > Linda, hands down. Linda is the least interesting of the three potadpole pets.
Is this a "battle pet" if you can't capture it properly and can't battle with it?I think they were just rushing and forgot to set up new battle pets in zones, like in Karesh. It's kind of sad. I feel like they get all their feedback from one player who is completely out of touch with the majority of the playerbase. Which is why we keep seeing these horrible sweeping decisions coming out of left field. Archaeology - yes we want this.Battle Pets and pet dungeons and tournaments and quests - yes we want this. Earning things and facing real challenges - yes we want this. Trimming the fun parts of WoW is not helping anyone. Seriously, how do they still believe that the majority of players are "rush rush rush and grind as fast as possible while skipping 99% of the game on alt after alt" type of players? That will always be the vocal MINORITY, not the majority.Yet we continue to see these stupid changes. WoW story, lore, characters, gameworld, etc. will always be great. But part of WoW is having more to do than just constantly repeating the same instances and rushing/skipping/grinding content.
Kinda sad that they've seemingly abandoned pet battles. Although I was never a huge fan, I did them now and then.
